An individual who was a victim of a "3 billion won Ponzi scheme" appeared on "Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller."

On the broadcast of KBS Joy's "Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller" (hereinafter referred to as 'Ask Us Anything') on the 14th, an individual working as both a webtoon artist and a web novel writer appeared.

On that day, the individual who was both a webtoon artist and a web novel writer appeared. He stated, "Recently, a Ponzi multi-level scam incident occurred in South Korea. I became a victim of that incident amounting to 3 billion won. The amount of damage is about 58 million won."

Seo Jang-hoon asked, "How did this happen?" The individual replied, "While working as a writer, when individuals have money, regular people usually grow it through investment methods. I sought an insurance planner. I received a plan but at first, I thought it was a product sold by an insurance company, but it was a product from a different insurance company, and the interest was incredibly high."

While the average interest rate from banks is about 2 to 3%, the product offered by the insurance company had a monthly interest rate of 2.6% and an annual interest rate of 31%. Surprised by the enormous annual interest rate, Seo Jang-hoon asked, "What is the logic behind that? Why do they offer it like that?"

It turned out that the company was registered as a lending business, and since individuals could not purchase bonds from the company directly, they arranged for vendors to facilitate the purchase. He said, "I bought a bond from a superb enterprise supporting the manufacturing industry, but at first it seemed reasonable, but at some point, it turned out to be all fake. There was no substance."

Before the scam was uncovered, the individual mentioned that until the end of November last year, he received about 1 million won monthly, totaling around 20 million won. He further astonished the audience by stating that he was unable to receive any payments after the scam incident was revealed in December last year.
