Singer Woody expressed his thoughts on remaking Kim Gun-mo's song.
On the afternoon of the 13th, Woody appeared on SBS Radio Power FM's 'Escape from Two o'clock Cultwo Show' (hereafter 'Cultwo Show'). Woody is actively continuing his activities with a comeback song that is a remake of Kim Gun-mo's 'A Sadder Today than Yesterday.'
Woody mentioned that during the release of 'A Sadder Today than Yesterday' in 2011, he was in the same agency as Kim Gun-mo. Woody stated, "('A Sadder Today than Yesterday' is) a hidden masterpiece of Kim Gun-mo. Since there are so many hit songs, it seems that this one isn't considered a hit. It was quite burdensome at first, being a song by a respected senior. I thought to do it in my style and worked on it."
Woody, who presented his first live stage on 'Cultwo Show,' showed a humble attitude by saying, "I wasn't nervous when singing my song, but for the remake, I don't know why I'm so nervous." After Woody's live performance, audience members praised him with remarks like, "It feels like my own song to the point that I don't think of the original singer," and "His voice is so sweet."
Woody also announced that he will hold a solo concert 'Woody, Live' at the 'Cloud Under Theater' in Mapo for two days from the 19th to the 20th. Woody continued, "There will be many content pieces with audience participation. There's an impromptu songwriting corner where I create songs based on words thrown by the audience, so please look forward to it."
