Jung Young-joo revealed the reason for her past hysterectomy in 'My Little Old Boy.'

The SBS entertainment program 'My Little Old Boy' (hereinafter referred to as 'My Little Old Boy') aired on the 13th.

On this day, actress Jung Young-joo was depicted visiting the hospital with her father, who is suspected of having dementia. She underwent a health check-up, noting that her father's forgetfulness has recently worsened, making it increasingly difficult for him to get up. He exhibited symptoms of memory decline and movement difficulties.

He even experienced facial paralysis. It was shocking to learn that he had been taking antidepressants for treatment since 1988, about 36 years ago. The dementia test for her father followed.

Jung Young-joo's health was also assessed. She underwent a hysterectomy six years ago at age 53 and was on menopausal medication. Regarding the reason, she said, "There was something wrong with my uterus, and my (menstrual) rhythm was disrupted, and it suddenly became excessive to the point of affecting my work," adding, "I later found out that I had adenomyosis, which is a condition where the uterus enlarges and causes severe pain."

When asked if she had any additional treatment after the surgery, Jung Young-joo said, "Adenomyosis has been fully treated, but menopausal symptoms appeared, and I started taking medication."

Her father's health condition was also examined. Fortunately, he had good bone health. His fasting blood sugar level was 160, which is quite high, and kidney function required attention for blood sugar control. It was noted that diabetes could pose risks to the heart and cerebral vessels, indicating the potential for complications.
