On the 13th, according to the rating research firm Nielsen Korea, KBS 2TV's entertainment program 'Immortal Song' (abbreviated as Immortal) recorded a viewership rating of 5.7% nationwide and 5.2% in the capital area for the 701st episode, marking the top viewership in its time slot. This maintains its position at the top for 114 weeks, continuing its Saturday entertainment dominance through an impressive 700 episodes.
The 701st episode of 'Immortal' broadcast on the 12th was themed as '700th Special - 7 Legends: The Next Wave' Act 2. Having showcased the majesty of 'Immortal Song' as a definitive top music program in Act 1, eyes and ears were once again focused on the stage of this Act 2.
The first performance was by Choi Baek-ho, who got the audience moving with 'Run.' Choi Baek-ho showcased the depth of a master, leading a stage reminiscent of a youth star. The juniors present all stood up, swaying their bodies and cheering for Choi Baek-ho's aura and flair.
Roy Kim, dreaming of being the 'post-Choi Baek-ho,' appeared as a guest and delivered a verse of 'I Lost My Way.' With his characteristic beauty and clear vocals, Roy Kim beautifully conveyed the song. Soon after, Choi Baek-ho joined, and the two created a heavy and lingering atmosphere with their softly murmured vocals. The blend of new and old artists evoked admiration just from watching.
