Go Youn-jung struggled in 'Resident Playbook.'
The first episode of the new tvN weekend drama 'Resident Playbook,' which aired on the 12th, depicted Oi-young's (Go Youn-jung) re-employment journey at Yulje Hospital.
On that day, Oi-young said she had to quit being a doctor after causing a major incident at a local hospital. Without a job, Oi-young suffered financial hardships to the point of opening an overdraft account, and she was in a situation where she could not pay back the 50 million won loan and needed to find re-employment at the hospital immediately.
Eventually, Oi-young headed to Yulje Hospital, where she had done her internship. Ahead of her interview at Yulje Hospital, Oi-young looked distressed. She said, "It feels a bit embarrassing to come back," but her sister warned, "If it weren't for me, you wouldn't even have been able to apply for the additional recruitment. Just try until you pay back the 50 million won. If you quit before that, the morgue will become your bedroom."
Oi-young began her first day at Yulje Hospital. From the first day of work, she entered the operating room of Seo Jeong-min (Lee Bong-ryeon) and underwent a harsh initiation. Oi-young, who had no choice but to attend Yulje Hospital for financial reasons, had neither great interest nor enthusiasm.
Meanwhile, when a pregnant woman Oi-young was checking on was about to give birth, Oi-young became confused. She contacted her professor, but the pregnant woman could not wait and ended up giving birth in the hallway outside the operating room. Holding her first baby, Oi-young felt a vague yet profound emotion.
Oi-young was severely scolded by her professor but seemed to have a changed mindset after her first experience. On her way to the hospital, Oi-young ran for the first time, and her sister, watching Oi-young's transformation, was astonished.
