The band CNBLUE (Jung Yong-hwa, Kang Min-hyuk, Lee Jung-shin) is gaining attention from overseas media.
CNBLUE will hold the '2025 CNBLUE LIVE – VOYAGE into X IN NORTH AMERICA' starting in Toronto on the 16th, followed by performances in New York on the 18th, Los Angeles on the 24th, and San Francisco on the 27th. As a result, overseas media are showing great interest, demonstrating the band's solid global popularity.
The U.S. entertainment media outlet The Knockturnal introduced CNBLUE, stating, "They are a band with everything from guitar to vocals and visuals, and they have been the driving force behind Korea's pop-rock genre for over 15 years." It added, "They have consistently expanded their global influence by selling out concerts across Asia, Europe, and North America each time they launch new activities." In a related interview, Lee Jung-shin expressed strong ambitions, saying, "This tour will showcase CNBLUE's 15-year journey, identity, and the direction we aim to pursue moving forward."
The New York daily amNewYork Metro reminisced about CNBLUE's first world tour visit to the U.S. in January 2014, reporting, "Fans have been counting down the days for CNBLUE to light up the stage once again." In the interview, Kang Min-hyuk stated, "Since our first world tour, the popularity of K-pop in the U.S. has greatly increased. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to return. We will showcase the performance know-how and band performance we've gained over the years," heightening expectations for the upcoming North American tour.
Media outlet EARMILK, which is focused on the U.S. and Canada, remarked, "Despite their long careers, the members still have a passion for exploring new endeavors." When asked about potential musical experiments they would like to try in the future, Jung Yong-hwa said, "These days, I am drawn to the raw sound unique to our band, and it seems we will get closer to a more fundamental band sound," hinting at challenging musical activities ahead.
Meanwhile, CNBLUE is expected to continue its busy schedule by kicking off the North American tour on the 16th, following its ongoing Asian tour under the same title.
