'MZ Wonder Icon' IVE (Ahn Yujin, Autumn, RAY, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Lee Seo) is heating up the Japanese archipelago.
According to their agency, Starship Entertainment, IVE will kick off their Japan fan concert tour 'IVE SCOUT' IN JAPAN at Aichi Sky Expo in Nagoya today (12th) and tomorrow (13th).
Following this, they will hold a total of 11 performances in Marine Messe Fukuoka from the 21st to the 22nd, Kobe World Memorial Hall from the 25th to the 26th, and K-Arena Yokohama from the 29th to the 30th, engaging with over 90,000 Japanese DIVE (official fan club name).
IVE previously met local fans through their first Japan fan concert 'The Prom Queens' in 2023. During that time, they held a total of 8 performances in Yokohama and Kobe, attracting around 57,000 fans. This time, through 'IVE SCOUT,' they will visit more cities including Nagoya, Fukuoka, Kobe, and Yokohama. In particular, IVE is set to hold their first solo fan concert in Nagoya, RAY's hometown, making it a particularly meaningful event.
The 'IVE SCOUT' concert held for the first time at KSPO Dome (former gymnastics arena) in Olympic Park, Seoul, on the 5th and 6th was met with enthusiastic responses from fans, concluding successfully. The show was notable for showcasing improved live performance skills, as well as stages for newly released tracks and unit performances that had never been revealed before. There is significant interest in the 'IVE SCOUT' being held in Japan.
IVE debuted officially in Japan in October 2022 with the release of 'ELEVEN - Japanese ver.' They not only secured a place on the 'Gold Disc' list as selected by the Japan Record Association with 'ELEVEN,' but also gained significant attention by appearing in NHK's 'Kohaku Uta Gassen' the same year.
Subsequently, IVE released their first Japanese album 'WAVE' in 2023 and their second Japanese album 'ALIVE' in 2024, dominating various local charts and solidifying their presence. Notably, 'ALIVE' was honored by being selected as one of the 'Hot Albums' in Billboard Japan's annual chart for 2024, as well as one of the '2024 Bestselling K-pop Top 20' in the annual chart by Tower Records Japan.
Thanks to their strong popularity, IVE performed at 'Summer Sonic 2024,' Japan's largest music festival, and 'Tokyo Girls Collection,' Japan's largest fashion festival, last year. They also performed at K-Arena Yokohama as part of their first world tour 'SHOW WHAT I HAVE,' becoming the first Korean artist to do so, and entered Tokyo Dome for their finale performance, proving their global popularity.
Recently, IVE announced that they will be singing the opening song 'DARE ME' for the Sunday drama on Japan's NTV, 'Dame Mane! - Unmarketable Talent, Management in Progress.' As their gradually accumulated local popularity reaches new heights, anticipation builds around IVE's performances today (12th) and tomorrow (13th) in Nagoya, RAY's hometown.
Meanwhile, IVE will hold their Japan fan concert tour 'IVE SCOUT' IN JAPAN Nagoya performance today (12th) and tomorrow (13th) at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. (JST). They plan to perform a total of 11 times in four cities in Japan (Nagoya, Fukuoka, Kobe, Yokohama) and provide special memories for local fans.
