MBC 'I Live Alone' featured Red Velvet's Joy revealing her 'happy diet secret' that takes care of both body and mind. Joy's genuine self-care efforts caught the attention of 'icon of happiness' Koo Seung-hwan, who remarked, 'You look so happy.'
On Jan. 11, the broadcast of MBC 'I Live Alone' (directed by Heo Hang, Kang Ji-hee, Park Soo-bin, Kim Jin-kyung, Lee Kyung-eun, Moon Gi-young) showcased Joy's daily life after six months of living alone and Jun Hyun-moo's efforts to overcome severe laryngitis.
Joy lay sprawled on the sofa, starting her home care with a mask pack and a mysterious device. Her unexpected side, replenishing her skin with a mask while watching TV and bursting into hearty laughter in her pajamas, captivated attention.
Joy confessed, 'I really envy those with slim body types. If I could be reborn, I would want to be born with a slim body type.' She shared that during her diet, she realized, 'If the face is round, the body also tends to be round' and admitted, 'I have been round since I was young.' Joy's analysis prompted the appearance of Jun Hyun-moo and Code Kunst, witnesses to the rainbow studio, which led to shared laughter.
Joy continued, 'In my 20s, I think I didn't take care of myself because I was too conscious of others' gaze. Later, I ended up having issues. When I shifted my focus from others to self-care, both my mental and physical health improved,' expressing her past concerns and efforts.
Furthermore, Joy noted, 'Another important aspect of dieting is mental health management,' explaining that she meditates whenever she needs stability for both body and mind. Koo Seung-hwan remarked, 'You look so happy,' admiring Joy's serene face as she meditated.
Meanwhile, Jun Hyun-moo's struggles with severe laryngitis were also shown. Looking haggard, he lay on the sofa focusing on self-treatment for recovery. He deeply felt during the weeklong battle with laryngitis that 'it's lonely and sad to be sick alone.'
As he lay helplessly, Jun Hyun-moo gradually started to smile while looking at comments from fans on his social media posts. The surprising sight of Jun Hyun-moo drew sighs from the rainbow members, with Code Kunst adding, 'I got really mad at myself for liking it on my own account,' eliciting laughter.
As Jun Hyun-moo sought comfort from the comments filled with fans' concerns and support, he reacted shyly when he saw his image on the studio screen, saying, 'The situation is a bit different now.'
Meanwhile, Jun Hyun-moo expressed gratitude, stating, 'Sometimes I forget that I am loved,' attributing his ability to speak to the support from fans.
