Actor Kim Young-dae donated 50 million won to World Vision for children and disaster victims affected by large wildfires in the Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk regions.
International relief development NGO World Vision (Chairman Cho Myung-hwan) announced on the 11th that it received 50 million won from Kim Young-dae to help children and disaster victims affected by large wildfires in the Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk regions.
This donation will be fully used for ▲ emergency living expenses and support for electronics and furniture, and ▲ programs for psychological and emotional recovery, according to Kim Young-dae's wishes, and is expected to provide practical assistance to disaster victims who urgently need to restore their daily lives.
Kim Young-dae said, 'I heard the news that the wildfires have been extinguished, but I learned that many residents still have to live in pain and discomfort.' He added, 'It's hard to imagine how much difficulty and pain those affected must be going through, and it's very unfortunate.' He continued, 'I donated with the hope that daily life will be restored as soon as possible and that it will help even a little.'
Cho Myung-hwan, Chairman of World Vision, expressed gratitude to Kim Young-dae for conveying a warm heart in a situation where many supports are needed for children and disaster victims affected by wildfires, stating, 'The donation you provided will be used wisely to help those in need due to the wildfire damage, leveraging World Vision's expertise to the fullest.'
World Vision swiftly launched emergency relief efforts immediately after the wildfire damage to ensure the survival and recovery of children and residents in the affected areas, and as the scale of the damage increased, it significantly expanded its support from the initial 500 million won to 3.5 billion won.
Meanwhile, World Vision signed a partnership agreement with Outer Universe Entertainment last March. Actor Kim Young-dae, affiliated with Outer Universe, delivered a remarkable performance in last year's tvN production 'I Don't Want to Lose' and is set to appear this year in MBC's 'Let's Go to the Moon' and the Tving original drama 'Dear X.'
