"Catch Your Luck" unveiled a highlight video.
The KBS 1TV new daily drama "Catch Your Luck" (scripted by Son Ji-hye / directed by Park Man-young and Lee Hae-woo / produced by Monster Union and Box Media) is set to air for the first time on the 14th (Monday) at 8:30 p.m. The drama depicts the stingy, tumultuous growth stories of three friends who are wealthy, poor, and aspire to be rich, along with their families.
The highlight video released today (the 11th) features the strong friendship of Han Mu-cheol (played by Son Chang-min), Kim Dae-sik (played by Sunwoo Jae-duk), and Choi Gyu-tae (played by Park Sang-myeon), highlighting their interesting relationship that shifts from upper and lower hierarchy after the passage of time.
"Until the day we die, the three of us will do everything together," the trio from "The Lowly Three" declared, dreaming of eternal friendship. However, 40 years later, they find themselves in a landlord-tenant relationship with Mu-cheol as the building owner. The "K-Scrooge" Mu-cheol transforms into a stingy landlord meddling in every matter, enjoying power. He scolds not only his tenants but also his unemployed son and college daughter, yelling, "How long will you keep spending my money?" and "Quit school and go work at the factory to earn some money," making everyone feel exasperated. Im Mi-ja (played by Lee Ah-hyun), tired of her husband Mu-cheol's obsession with money, quips, "Go die under that money!" delivering a satisfying blow.
On the other hand, Dae-sik, the "K-Father" who sacrifices for his family, and Lee Hye-sook (played by Oh Yeong-sil), his "long-time wife," create a heartwarming home that delights viewers. Hye-sook states, "He's handsome, kind, and doesn't know any woman other than me," triggering a "husband-loving" moment, while she can't stop bragging about her son who studied abroad. Dae-sik adds, "I'll feel full even if I don't eat today," creating a stark contrast to Mu-cheol's household.
Gyu-tae, who is raising his son alone after the death of his wife, is busy preparing for a blind date, declaring, "Life begins at 60." He also tries to please landlord Mu-cheol by cleaning his car, and predicts fantastic chemistry with Hwang Geum-ok (played by An Yeon-hong), the owner of Cafe Mindeulle.
Gyu-tae and Dae-sik, unable to move before the "super alpha" Mu-cheol, as well as Hye-sook who gets angry at the mocking of the building owner's wife Mi-ja, spark interest. With Mu-cheol's and Dae-sik's children getting entangled, "Catch Your Luck" heralds the birth of a new type of family drama with a colorful showcase of characters and spectacular episodes, raising expectations for the broadcast.
