At 26, the second anniversary of the passing of actor Jung Chae-yul, who died at such a young age, is approaching.
Jung Chae-yul died on April 11, 2023. The late actor's agency, Management S, said, "It is with a heavy heart that we convey this heartbreaking and regretful news. Actor Chae-yul left us on this day."
The agency urged, "We hope everyone will join us in praying for the deceased to rest comfortably in a warm place, as Chae-yul was always sincere before her acting," while also asking to refrain from spreading rumors and speculative reports.
The late Jung Chae-yul debuted as a model under Esteem Entertainment in 2015 and gained recognition by appearing in the model survival program "Devil's Runway" in 2016. During her modeling career, she began her full-fledged acting activities by appearing in the film "Deep," which was released in 2018.
Afterward, Jung Chae-yul appeared as Baek Yoon-mi in the KBS 2TV drama "Zombie Detective," which aired in 2020, showcasing her girl-crush charm. She was also cast in the drama "Wedding Impossible." The production team and cast of "Wedding Impossible" were in shock over Jung Chae-yul's passing, and temporarily suspended filming that was ongoing at the time until the next day.
The agency was also in great sorrow over the sudden news. Lee Soo-hyung, the agency's CEO, recalled to OSEN, "Our Chae-yul was really hardworking, truly deep-hearted, and a wonderful friend. To me, she was an extraordinary actress I can't even find words to express."
Actor Ha Do-kwon, who acted alongside Jung Chae-yul in "Zombie Detective," also mourned her passing by posting a photo along with the message, "We had been saying we would definitely work on a project together this year, and that voice is still vivid.. You were always a beautiful and shining actor, R.I.P."
