Actress Lee Yo-won shared her experience of living as the mother of three on SBS' 'Shoe Off and Single Men' that aired on the 8th. Lee Yo-won revealed that her eldest child is 23 years old, while the second and third children are still elementary school students who require a lot of attention. She said, 'I was planning on having two more, but after the first, it didn't happen. They say having many children leads to a good life,' expressing her happiness about having multiple children.
When asked what she does during her alone time, Lee Yo-won said, 'I just lay on the bed. I watch the Tak Jae-hoon collection,' and added that she wishes her home were quiet. She mentioned, 'After dropping off the kids, I need to sleep for two hours,' emphasizing the importance of her personal time.
Lee Yo-won said, 'I thought I was done after sending the eldest to college, but now I'm riding again while my son plays sports. Meeting friends has become annoying,' and Tak Jae-hoon humorously remarked, 'I thought you were living happily,' which drew laughter.
Lee Yo-won stated, 'Living as a mother of an athlete is fun. Currently, the main sports are basketball and ice hockey. I've experienced burnout several times. I've had many arguments with both my child and my husband,' highlighting the tough moments she experiences amidst her busy life and parenting while enjoying being a mother.
Lee Yo-won strongly empathized while watching comedienne Lee Soo-ji's 'Jamie Mom,' saying, 'There are people like that.'
Besides Lee Yo-won, actress Han Ga-in, who has also been in the spotlight as a riding mom, gained attention. In October of last year, a video on her YouTube channel, showing her riding her children to and from school, attracted attention. The video captures a day in the life of Han Ga-in, who is raising her two kids. Han Ga-in revealed that her full day of riding starts at 7:30 a.m. when she drops off her eldest daughter at school and continues until around 9 p.m.
Afterward, Han Ga-in faced unintended embarrassment due to a parody video of comedienne Lee Soo-ji's 'Daechee Mom' in February.
The parody of Lee Soo-ji's 'Daechee Mom' had many similarities to the 'children's riding daily life' video Han Ga-in previously shared on her YouTube channel. As a result, speculations arose that Lee Soo-ji's parody targeted Han Ga-in, and Han Ga-in was mocked with the term 'intense mom.'
While the parody of Lee Soo-ji's Daechee Mom was in the midst of controversy, Han Ga-in appeared on the cable channel tvN's variety program 'You Quiz on the Block' and explained the 'intense mom' controversy, saying, 'Other mothers think I'm putting pressure on my children to study, but that's absolutely not the case. They are not the type of kids I would make study. I learned what I like after turning 40. I didn't try anything when I was younger,' adding, 'I hope my children discover what they enjoy doing through various experiences quickly because nothing is better than enjoying what I love.'
As negative comments began to extend to Han Ga-in's children, her team ultimately made the video private to protect the kids.
