On the 10th, Lee Dong-hwi, the star of the movie 'Lobby,' appeared as a guest on KBS Cool FM's 'Park Myung-soo's Radio Show.' The film 'Lobby,' which premiered on the 2nd, tells the story of the startup CEO Chang-woo (played by Ha Jung-woo), who knows nothing but research and embarks on his first golf lobbying to secure a national project worth 4 trillion won. This is the third work of director Ha Jung-woo, following 'Roller Coaster' and 'The Hunt.'
Park Myung-soo greeted Lee Dong-hwi, saying, "I really like you, but you're part of Yoo Jae-suk's line. If it weren't for that, I'd manage you myself because I like you so much." Lee Dong-hwi playfully responded, "They say that I straddle both sides with Yoo Jae-suk sunbae, but I still came out leaning a bit more towards Jae-suk hyung."
Ha Jung-woo was scheduled to attend the press screening and media conference for 'Lobby' held on the 25th of last month, but he was unable to attend due to an emergency surgery for acute appendicitis that day. Park Myung-soo inquired about Ha Jung-woo's health, and Lee Dong-hwi witty responded, "As for the current score, I understand that he hasn't farted yet. I believe he needs to fart to recover fully."
He then confessed about director and actor Ha Jung-woo, saying, "It's really burdensome. While acting, you know when they say 'cut.' Since the director is right in front of me, I have to naturally deliver my lines. It makes it really burdensome, and I can't concentrate because I'm worried if I'm doing well."
In 'Lobby,' Lee Dong-hwi plays the role of reporter Park, who facilitated the lobbying. He is passionately promoting 'Lobby' across various platforms, including entertainment shows, YouTube, events, and stage greetings. He mentioned, "I hope more people come to see it. About 1 million? I don't know the break-even point. There are various rights sales going on. I'm not sure about the exact figures. The movie industry is really struggling."
When asked if he gets paid for requiring ad-libs, Lee Dong-hwi replied, "I maintain that position. It's quite a labor-intensive task, so I can't do it for free. I charge between 500 won to 1,000 won. (On the set of Lobby) for this system, we set it up before shooting, so there's no separate payment to be billed afterward. However, Ha Jung-woo hyung is funnier. Our comedic codes match well."
In particular, regarding Yoo Jae-suk, he said, "I still firmly belong to the Yoo line. I saw Jae-suk hyung three times in a row at the concert venue. Is it a problem that I'm close with singers?" He also boasted about soccer player Kim Min-jae, saying, "I video call him several times a day. We'll be appearing together on 'Radio Show' next time."
