The Korea Association of Popular Music Performance (hereinafter referred to as the Music Performance Association) will lead the 'Duru Duru Traveling Pop Music Concert,' set to be held on April 12 at the Isabu Dokdo Memorial Hall special stage in Samcheok, Gangwon Province.
This concert, held under the subtitle 'Feeling the Green Spring,' will be conducted as a special festival-style stage, distinct from performances in other regions.
Indie band '10CM,' representing the South Korean indie scene, the delicate-voiced singer-songwriter 'Hong Isak,' the top rookie of the K-band scene 'Dragon Pony,' the warm-voiced casual-style singer 'Kim Su-young,' the refreshing five-member band 'Mongdol,' and the singer-songwriter 'Damdamgugu,' who has gained attention overseas, will grant performances.
A representative from the Music Performance Association noted, "This concert in Samcheok has been prepared in a festival format and will provide the citizens of Samcheok with rich experiences by linking a variety of experiences that combine music and art, not just simple musical enjoyment."
'Duru Duru Traveling Pop Music Concert' is part of a nationwide free performance program and will continue to perform in various cultural underprivileged areas across the country until the end of April, totaling 13 performances. The performances will be conducted free of charge, aiming to provide local residents with the opportunity to enjoy culture through music.
Previously, the performance held on April 4 featured So Subin, Choi Yuri, Letter Flow, and Dawn Workshop, achieving a full house with 800 seats sold out, creating a meaningful stage that touched the audience.
Meanwhile, the Korea Association of Popular Music Performance is made up of 43 member companies that organize and manage various pop music performances, including concerts, festivals, world tours, and domestic performances, and is a non-profit organization cooperating for the future of the popular music performance industry and the rights of those involved.
