Comedian Kim Sook is taking on a business venture.
On the 7th, a video titled "Sook's startup consultation! It started grandly but ended up a bit disappointing (full)!" was uploaded on the "Kim Sook TV" channel.
On this day, Kim Sook met with comedian Ko Myung-hwan to discuss. He said, "In fact, there's a reason why I met Mr. Ko Myung-hwan today. Mr. Ko has a knack for reading the economy, right? So, this year, I want to start a small business on my own. I like sewing. I want to venture into bedding.
In response, Ko Myung-hwan said, "After COVID-19, I was told not to do anything back then. Hearing that, I thought I should be defensive this year, and the next day, I went to the library to read books. Dale Carnegie said, 'To make a windmill spin when there's no wind, you must run forward with the windmill.' I was suddenly moved to tears. It was so touching.
Kim Sook remarked, "That's a very thought-provoking statement," and Ko Myung-hwan added, "In crisis lies opportunity; that saying is really true. You can navigate through good times and bad. The key is that, honestly, you're not going to starve just because you can't make money with that, right?"
Then Kim Sook said, "That's right, but it's one of the things I've wanted to try for a long time," and Ko Myung-hwan replied, "If you start with that mindset, the economy won't hinder you at all." However, both of them were distracted by cooking, and Ko Myung-hwan concluded, "Life, just do it. If you want to do it, do it!" Kim Sook also chimed in, "Just live a little loosely! If you want to run a business, go for it!" which drew laughter.
Afterwards, Ko Myung-hwan asked, "So are you going to do all the sewing yourself?" and Kim Sook replied, "Initially, I made samples with a sewing machine, and since the idea is unique, I'll register the design. I plan to proceed with everything in collaboration."
Ko Myung-hwan stated, "It's fulfilling when you can creatively make something like that," and Kim Sook shared another goal, saying, "And I want to make a children's book."
