The group ILLIT demonstrated brilliant ingenuity in a fierce chase, evoking admiration from viewers.
ILLIT (YoonA, MinJu, MoKa, WonHee, IroHa) released the seventeenth episode of their original content "SUPER ILLIT," titled "Even the Tiger Raised Both Hands and Feet," on the team's official YouTube channel on the 7th.
This episode depicted ILLIT, who were preparing to sell rice cakes, facing a crisis due to the tiger's sabotage. The tiger warned that no sales could take place without his permission, and ILLIT received a directive that if they found the intact rope, they could escape safely with the help of the sun and moon.
The high-difficulty mission to find the rope began for ILLIT. The members, transformed into animals, played a game where they described ILLIT's song lyrics using animal language and actions without getting caught by the tiger. They imitated the sounds of cats, bears, and showcased their adorable appearances while communicating seamlessly with each other.
Having successfully advanced to the next round, ILLIT played hide-and-seek with the tiger to obtain the location information of the rope. They sought hidden rice cakes throughout the building and made transactions with those wearing the traditional Hahoe mask to receive hints. WonHee confidently stated, "I'm sure I won't get caught by the tiger," but after an intense standoff with the tiger, she was the first among the members to be caught, sparking laughter.
The members exhibited fantastic teamwork even while separated. MoKa teamed up with MinJu, while YoonA paired with IroHa to gather many hints. Meanwhile, WonHee, even in the tiger's den, used her charming aegyo to cleverly obtain hints. While waiting for her members to rescue her, WonHee succeeded in escaping and encountered the tiger again but managed to evade the situation with her excellent running skills and quick thinking. MinJu, too, faced the tiger and, after a brief moment of panic, unexpectedly delayed time with a dance battle.
ILLIT's warm-heartedness was also evident. Finally succeeding in pulling the rope, ILLIT didn't just celebrate themselves. They created a warm atmosphere by thanking the exhausted tiger, who had been worn out from the chase, while blowing flower pollen.
Meanwhile, ILLIT's "Almond Chocolate" is gaining popularity in Japan following word of mouth. The song has climbed to 5th on the Line Music daily chart (as of April 4) and 8th on the Apple Music Japan "Weekly Song Ranking" (counting period from March 24 to 30), along with rising rankings on various local music charts. Remarkably, this occurs over a month after the release of the song, as it has sparked a "reverse chart surge" toward the top ranks.
