The return of an unprecedented villain in 'New Recruit 3' has turned the New Recruit unit upside down.
On the 8th, the production team of the Genie TV original drama 'New Recruit 3' (directed by Min Jin-ki and Jo Je-uk, written by Yoon Gi-young and Kang Go-eun, based on the original work by Jang Ppi-jju, planned by KT Studio Genie, produced by A2Z Entertainment and Story Island) announced a storm that is about to hit the New Recruit unit.
'New Recruit 3' has provided unique laughs from the first broadcast, capturing the audience's attention. The character play of 'New Recruits' has exceeded expectations once again in the third season. The heightened relatability brought by Kim Dong-jun, Oh Dae-hwan, Kim Yo-han, and other new faces has set the stage for even richer storytelling.
On this day, Park Min-seok appeared as a private adapting to the military, slightly shedding the aura of being a waste. Along with his growth, the New Recruit unit has also undergone changes. The captain Jo Baek-ho (played by Oh Dae-hwan), who has been remarkably affectionate while carrying the phrase 'I love you,' and the newly arrived New Recruits, Jeon Gye-won (played by Kim Dong-jun) and Moon Bit-na-ri (played by Kim Yo-han), were the protagonists. Moon Bit-na-ri, who entered the first barrack, announced the emergence of a worse waste New Recruit by making Choi Il-gu (played by Nam Tae-woo) bleed from the nose from the very first day. Meanwhile, an unwelcome face also appeared. It was Seong Yoon-mo, who had been arrested for operating an illegal gambling site. After being acquitted in court, he returned to the unit, signaling an unusual storm that would soon hit the New Recruit unit.
Amidst this, the photos revealed featured Park Min-seok meeting Seong Yoon-mo, who had finally returned. Park Min-seok, unable to hide his surprise with his mouth agape, stands before Seong Yoon-mo, who has yet to abandon his awkward salute stance. The subtle encounter between New Recruit Moon Bit-na-ri and Seong Yoon-mo in the subsequent photos arouses curiosity. Seong Yoon-mo's expression, seemingly reaching out a tentacle toward the bewildered Moon Bit-na-ri, is perplexing. Known within the New Recruit unit for causing trouble after running an illegal gambling site and joining the military in a hurry, Seong Yoon-mo is already infamous. However, the newly enlisted New Recruit Moon Bit-na-ri has no way of knowing this fact. The curiosity grows around how Seong Yoon-mo's existence will disrupt the New Recruit unit and the first barrack.
Meanwhile, an unspecified incident surrounding a chocolate bar has also been foreshadowed. Park Min-seok is happily munching on a chocolate bar found in a corner of the barrack. However, in another photo, Choi Il-gu's serious expression as he picks up a half chocolate bar, alongside the fidgeting Park Min-seok, suggests a humorous incident. It raises curiosity about how this half chocolate bar incident will press Choi Il-gu's anger button and lead to an event that will turn the entire unit upside down.

The second episode of the Genie TV original drama 'New Recruit 3' will be first released today (Feb. 8, Tues.) at 10 p.m. on the ENA channel and will be exclusively available for free VOD on KT Genie TV right after the main broadcast. It can also be viewed on the Tving OTT platform.
