Broadcaster Kim Dae-ho conveyed that his life is more important than marriage.
On the morning of the 7th, Kim Dae-ho, a former announcer from MBC, appeared as a guest on KBS Cool FM 'Park Myung-soo's Radio Show'.
Kim Dae-ho, who is coming to KBS for the first time, said, "As far as I remember, I visited when I attended a taekwondo academy a long time ago. This is my first time on the broadcast." He noted, "It has a slightly bureaucratic feel. I don't know if it's because I'm nervous, but the pressure of the air feels like a government office."
In response to a listener's text that thought Na Young-seok PD had come, Park Myung-soo said, "I am close with Na Young-seok PD, but in terms of appearance, I think Kim Dae-ho is better looking." Kim Dae-ho replied, "It makes me feel good every time I am compared to Na Young-seok PD. But if they keep comparing looks, I wonder if PD will feel uncomfortable."
Previously, Kim Dae-ho announced his departure from MBC in February and has signed an exclusive contract with One Hundred led by MC Mong, starting a new chapter.
When asked about his feelings about leaving MBC, where he worked for 15 years, he stated, "It feels a bit bittersweet, and I think a lot about the past. It was an important decision in my life, and after much contemplation, I have no regrets."
When Park Myung-soo asked how reality has been since his departure, he replied, "Actually, work has been coming in like a flood," capturing attention. Park Myung-soo testified, "After filming 'The Great Guide,' the production company representative came to the airport to meet Kim Dae-ho personally," to which Kim Dae-ho was surprised, saying, "How did you know? Did you see that?"
Regarding the statement that the criterion for selecting an agency was the signing bonus, Kim Dae-ho said, "It's hard to say that it's not true. As you all know, I didn't receive an astronomical amount. However, from a worker's perspective, it is a considerable sum. I am sharing this from my personal sentiment."
In response to the question of whether the signing bonus was more than his severance pay, he replied, "In my view, it's true," and added, "I was satisfied with it as a visible measure of my hard work. It was very pleasing because it reflects my value numerically. I also keep the amount strictly hidden from my family. It's to prevent potential problems in advance."
When asked if he had any fears at the time of his resignation, he stated, "Of course, there was fear. Now, I am very grateful, and as you know, I am still doing MBC programs, so I am trying to meet expectations."
In response to a listener's question about whether he feels lonely, he stated, "Honestly, there are times when I feel lonely. I counted the days of loneliness, and it amounts to two or three months a year. I think my life is important, so I decided to live those three months by enduring it rather than meeting someone to make the remaining nine months less enjoyable."
He revealed that he didn't originally dream of being an announcer, saying, "I hope you understand without misunderstanding. I wanted to do the work that Seong-chan does in the movie 'The Chef.' I thought it would be good for young people to run a vegetable shop. I thought that would be right for me, as I grew up in the countryside and liked elderly people. I thought it would be good to do that. However, there was no document review for the announcer exam. So I took the challenge but failed the general knowledge test. Luckily, MBC created an audition program for 'new employees.' It's been 15 years filled with ups and downs, and MBC raised me."
Finally, when Park Myung-soo asked if he is happy, he responded, "Personally, I think there is no happiness in life. It's too idealistic. I am just satisfied with doing what I want every day. I am satisfied now."
