Ahn Jae-wook has finally realized his feelings for Eom Ji-won.
The 20th episode of the KBS 2TV weekend drama 'For Eagle Brothers' aired at 8 p.m. on the 6th, showcasing the colorful story of the 'So-Donga couple.' The broadcast recorded a viewership rating of 21.7% (Nielsen Korea, nationwide household basis), and the 2049 viewership rating, a key indicator of channel competitiveness and popularity, also recorded its highest rating of 4%, taking first place among all programs aired over the weekend.
In this episode, the three-way confrontation between Ma Gwang-suk (played by Eom Ji-won), Han Dong-seok (played by Ahn Jae-wook), and Park Sang-nam (played by Gong Jeong-hwan) sparked interest in the plot. Gwang-suk, who unexpectedly ran into Sang-nam at a location she visited for work, couldn't hide her embarrassment and ended up sitting down for a meal at his persistent request. As the conversation maintained a cold atmosphere, tension rose when Dong-seok joined them.
Feeling uncomfortable with the two, Sang-nam expressed his dissatisfaction to Dong-seok, saying, "If I gave you a signal a few times, shouldn't you get up?" In response, Dong-seok replied, "I came for protective reasons, thinking that something undesirable might happen," and they engaged in a tense back-and-forth. Consequently, Gwang-suk discovered the reason Sang-nam had come down to the countryside, which infuriated her, and amid escalating emotions, Sang-nam and Dong-seok ultimately got into a physical fight. With Gwang-suk joining in, the meal quickly descended into chaos.
Meanwhile, the unusual atmosphere between Oh Cheon-soo (played by Choi Dae-cheol) and Moon Mi-soon (played by Park Hyo-joo) caught attention. After successfully completing a presentation at the convenience store headquarters, Cheon-soo brought a cake to express his gratitude and visited Mi-soon. His act of quietly gazing at the sleeping Mi-soon without waking her was heartwarming, stirring curiosity about whether their relationship could develop beyond friendship.
Meanwhile, Ji Ok-bun (played by Yoo In-young) saw off Kim Sun-hwa (played by Ahn Mi-na), who was moving away. Ok-bun not only took care of Sun-hwa's daughter's snack money but also showed her magnanimity by saying, "If you want to perm your hair later, feel free to come to my beauty salon anytime. I'll do it for free." Sun-hwa asked for a handshake with Ok-bun and, after saying, "Please take care of Heung-soo," left the neighborhood.
Heung-soo was shocked by Sun-hwa's sudden moving news and mistakenly thought it was because of Ok-bun. Ok-bun took a firm stance, saying, "There must be circumstances you can't talk about, so forget it. The teacher won't come back just because you beg him. Director Kim."
Meanwhile, Gwang-suk and Dong-seok spent a cheerful time picking stuffed animals at a rest area. When Dong-seok won a stuffed animal, Gwang-suk admired, "Chairman, your hand is golden!" and her request for a high-five made Dong-seok unable to hide his excitement.
At the end of the broadcast, Dong-seok's heart raced once again at Gwang-suk's inquiries about his well-being. Later, Dong-seok realized his heart fluttered every time he met Gwang-suk, leading to an 'awakening ending' that made viewers anticipate how their relationship would develop in the next episode.
