Actor Yoo Hae-jin from 'Yadang' shared an episode from filming with junior actor Ryu Kyung-soo.
On the afternoon of the 7th, a press screening and media conference for the movie 'Yadang' (directed by Hwang Byeong-guk) took place at Megabox COEX in Gangnam, Seoul. The conference was attended by director Hwang Byeong-guk and actors Kang Ha-neul, Yoo Hae-jin, Park Hae-joon, Ryu Kyung-soo, and Chae Won-bin.
'Yadang' is a crime action film that unfolds with a broker 'Yadang' designing the drug market in South Korea, a 'prosecutor' aiming to rise higher, and a 'detective' who risks everything to tackle drug crime.
In the film, Ryu Kyung-soo portrays Jo Hoon, a member of the South Korean Untouchables, who displays arrogant acting even toward prosecutor Gu Kwan-hee (played by Yoo Hae-jin). He shared that when it comes to scenes like this, "When I filmed 'Hostage,' I kidnapped senior actor Hwang Jung-min. That experience helped a lot." His comments brought laughter.
He continued, "I don't think my seniors actually see me as a junior. They respect me as a colleague, allowing me to have fun. The surprising experience was during a take when something unexpected slipped out of me that shouldn't have. Seeing that, my senior responded flexibly. I felt again that I needed to be adaptable."
In response, Yoo Hae-jin was asked if he ever felt genuinely annoyed while filming. He replied, "When I was a nuisance in the movie, didn't I curse, 'Can't you just stay still? Is that so hard?' It was the first shoot, and I had the urge to suddenly hit the back of his head. It was annoying. The situation of causing such a big problem while wolfing down food was just like that." His honesty added to the humor.
Meanwhile, 'Yadang' is set to be released in theaters on the 16th.
