The movie 'A 7 a.m. Breakfast Meeting for People with Broken Hearts', which depicts the relatable breakup stories of all brokenhearted men and women (produced by WYSIWYG STUDIOS | directed by Lim Sun-ae), successfully completed all filming and cranked up in March 2025. We reveal location stills and reflections from Suzy and Lee Jin-wook, who drew attention from the beginning.
Starting filming at the end of December last year, and after about three months, it builds anticipation for how Suzy, Lee Jin-wook, Yoo Ji-tae, and Geum Sae-rok captured deep emotions of realistic love and breakups in a winter atmosphere. The movie 'A 7 a.m. Breakfast Meeting for People with Broken Hearts' is based on the novel of the same name by author Baek Young-ock, published in 2012. It depicts the story of Sa-gang (Suzy) and Ji-hoon (Lee Jin-wook) who meet at a breakfast meeting for their own reasons, exchanging their 'breakup souvenirs' and sharing their stories and pains as they deal with their own breakups. In this movie, Suzy, who plays the role of Sa-gang, delicately portrays her love and breakup with the airline captain Jeong-su (Yoo Ji-tae) and delivers a profound performance. She noted, "It was a happy filming set where I could be with good directors and actors. As memories of enjoying the original novel came to mind, I felt a strange sentiment while watching the process of bringing it to film. Just as I found comfort while portraying Sa-gang, I hope the audience also finds warm solace through this film." In addition, Lee Jin-wook, who takes on the role of consultant trainer 'Ji-hoon', presents a heavy and profound performance regarding the realistic love and breakups of long-term lovers with Hyun-jung (Geum Sae-rok). He said, "I was happy to finish filming safely, but I also felt a significant sense of regret. I was able to gain positive energy throughout the shooting as I could work with good actors. As I tried to express various emotions of breakup while portraying Ji-hoon, I hope the film conveys warm empathy and comfort to the audience." Finally, director Lim Sun-ae, known for her unique perspectives and delicate directing in films like '69 Years Old' and 'Love at the End of the Century', also shared, "Thanks to the efforts and concerns of good staff and actors, we were able to complete filming safely. I will work hard on the remaining post-production to ensure it becomes a good piece for the audience waiting for the film." Meanwhile, WYSIWYG STUDIOS, which has collaborated with director Lim Sun-ae for the second time on films like 'Searching for the King' (working title) and 'Interview' (directed by Jo Young-jun), produced this project, along with Management Forest, which has been involved in the production since the planning stage. Additionally, WYSIWYG STUDIOS, which is expanding its scope through various film investment projects, collaborates on this film, ensuring a robust production team. 'A 7 a.m. Breakfast Meeting for People with Broken Hearts' is aiming for a winter theater release in the second half of 2025.
