MBC 'Good Day''s G-Dragon is showcasing his brilliant producer qualities along with the group song recording, heating up expectations for the remake audio source.
The 7th episode of 'Good Day' (directed by Kim Tae-ho, produced by TEO), which aired on Nov. 6, unveiled the venue of the Good Day general meeting, which is gaining momentum with a cherished items auction. With G-Dragon at the center, participants included Cho Sae-ho, Jeong Hyung Don, Defconn, Code Kunst, as well as Hwang Jung-min, Lee Soo-hyuk, Yim Siwan, Hwang Kwanghee, Jung Haein, Kian84, Hong Jin Kyung, chef Anh Sung-jae, Seventeen unit BSS, Aespa, and CL, among others, as the group song recording for the Good Day project commenced, raising expectations. With Aespa's joining, the auction heat intensified further. Notably, chef Anh Sung-jae, the first Michelin 3-star in Korea, garnered explosive interest by presenting a knife he purchased after entering the culinary world as a cherished item. Yim Siwan and Aespa also jumped into the auction, where Cho Sae-ho once again won the highest bid, earning the title of 'donation angel.' Additionally, running fanatic Kian84 acquired the bone-conduction earphones that Hwang Jung-min favored during workouts, and Hong Jin Kyung's Gua Sha massager was taken by chef Anh Sung-jae.
The highlight was undoubtedly G-Dragon's cherished items auction. An inquiry envelope presented by the daily auctioneer Defconn contained G-Dragon privileges, known as 'Giyong privileges,' which stated that G-Dragon would do anything from being a concert guest to featuring and having cameo appearances in works, capturing everyone's attention. Amidst this, Aespa's Ningning humorously asked, 'Can you catch cockroaches too?' triggering laughter. With the group song confirmed, G-Dragon reinterpreted two existing songs, 'Telepathy' and 'From the Moonlight by the Window,' into one song. 'From the Moonlight by the Window,' which was released in 1986, was also sung by the City Boys, and G-Dragon created new elements such as a rap part that didn't exist in the original and a sing-along segment to reflect the meaning of 'together.'
The first arrivals at the recording studio were the stars Yim Siwan, Hwang Kwanghee, and Jung Haein. To film the music video, they all unified their fashion in black jackets and jeans, and Jung Haein drew admiration with visuals reminiscent of a movie protagonist. G-Dragon proudly showcased his genius moments as a producer, syncing with the participants. Among them, Young K disclosed that he returned to Korea after dreaming of becoming a singer upon seeing G-Dragon while studying abroad. The members of Day6 demonstrated their chemistry by effortlessly stacking harmonies even during an impromptu recording, and G-Dragon applauded, saying, 'You guys are really good?' and entrusted the harmony for the chorus of 'From the Moonlight by the Window.'
