Even Yoo Jae-suk of the world raised his hand.
On the 5th, a new video titled "Excuses about unfinished stories" was released on the YouTube channel "Tteun Tteun." The video featured Han Sang-jin and Choi Daniel, who shared stories.
That day, the two entered "Pinkeigo" about two months after appearing on "Mini Pinkeigo" in February. When asked about their recent situations, Han Sang-jin opened up, saying, "Something amazing happened. The producer Lee Ji-seon texted me. She suggested we eat together."
Previously, Han Sang-jin appeared in "Mini Pinkeigo" and mentioned, "I was a member of the first episode of 'I Live Alone.' It originally started as a pilot program called 'When a Man Lives Alone.' So when I was filming 'Ma-eui' with producer Lee Ji-seon, I was talking about how I live alone as a weekend couple. When asked what I usually do, I said I usually order jjajangmyeon, eat one now, and freeze the other for later, which she found very amusing, suggesting, 'Why don't we film that?'"
At that time, Han Sang-jin said, "That was a pilot, but it received amazing ratings. The second episode had the highest rating for my segment. Now that it's becoming a regular program, my wife is retiring. I'm not living alone anymore, so I had to leave," adding, "(Producer Lee Ji-seon) later apologized to me, saying she'd like to work with me on something else, and then she declared herself free and left," which prompted laughter.
Han Sang-jin said, "So we had a meal and decided to work together on a program. We filmed our first episode the day before yesterday. It's called 'The Crime Prevention Program of Detectives.'" Yoo Jae-suk expressed pride, saying, "Sang-jin has joined a fixed entertainment show," to which Nam Chang-hee applauded, saying, "Pinkeigo has created all of this for you." Han Sang-jin stated, "Pinkeigo made me an MC and helped my wife win. Long live Pinkeigo!"
Han Sang-jin and Choi Daniel also worked together in the movie "Sunny Day." Choi Daniel remarked, "It's a small episode, but it was during our promotional events. When doing stage greetings, you must be together. My older brother has a bit of a superiority complex; he feels he has to stand out. Also, just to add, he never bows his head. In every photo, he always has his head held high."
Continuing, he mentioned, "This is the main story. Normally, we would move around using buses, which are not comfortable. While going for the stage greetings, my brother drove himself all the way to Wando. It was my first time seeing that. You mean to tell me he went alone for a movie stage greeting?" He then joked, saying, "This brother is indeed a star with a superiority complex." Han Sang-jin replied, "He arrived from Seoul. The team that departed from Seoul took a bus, while I left from Busan. Since I had a bit of luggage, I arranged for a vehicle to pick me up. I brought my own car to move from Wando to Gwangju."
Yoo Jae-suk summarized, saying, "So you brought your car," and Han Sang-jin laughed, confirming, "Right." Additionally, Han Sang-jin and Choi Daniel had some conflict about comfortable seats on the bus, with Choi Daniel stating, "He kept sitting in that seat, crossing his arms, like Heungseon Daewongun." Listening to this, Yoo Jae-suk asked, "Why Heungseon Daewongun?" To which Choi Daniel explained, "My brother likes kings." When Yoo Jae-suk corrected, stating, "Heungseon Daewongun was not a king," Choi Daniel immediately quipped, "Oh, really? Then, Ahsan! Isan?" prompting laughter.
Yoo Jae-suk added, "We can't delve into historical details, but Heungseon Daewongun was not a king. His son, Gojong, was the king. However, Heungseon Daewongun held real power and implemented various national policies, so while the protagonist is Daniel, he's sitting there—a rough analogy to Heungseon Daewongun fits somewhat." Choi Daniel remarked, "No, there's an internal superiority complex. But since others don't acknowledge it, there's a lot of chaos inside." This description prompted more laughter.
Nam Chang-hee also mentioned an episode with Han Sang-jin, saying, "He's someone who really likes to talk. Once, we were speaking in front of his house while having beer at a chicken restaurant. Around 11 p.m., when I said, 'Brother, we should head back now,' he replied no, saying he wanted to talk more with us. So he suggested we go to his house."
Nam Chang-hee continued, "I told him, 'But your wife is home, let's not go in. Let's just leave,' but he insisted not to worry. He said he has everything under control when at home. So when we got to his house, as soon as we opened the front door, he said, 'Shush!'" Han Sang-jin chimed in, "Shush, don't even make a sound," and Nam Chang-hee exclaimed, "His wife is sleeping. Shush, shush. He felt sorry but was making things awkward. If that's the case, just don't have us over!"
Yoo Jae-suk chimed in, "If that's the case, you shouldn't have invited us in. What kind of hassle is that?" Han Sang-jin explained, "We had to pass through the front room to get to the kitchen. So I told them, 'Lift your feet carefully while opening the fridge and the cans.'"
Nam Chang-hee commented, "I was lucky the house is spacious," and Han Sang-jin noted, "Chang-hee was held up until 3 a.m. and couldn't make any noise." Yoo Jae-suk wondered, "If that's the case, why not just talk outside? Why suggest going home?" To which Han Sang-jin confessed, "If we stay out too late, my wife will complain. I have to be home, but I still want to talk. It was perfectly flawless that my wife didn't know we came over. And when I opened the front door, my wife woke up. She caught on that we had escaped."
Hearing this, Yoo Jae-suk said, "Whether you slept well or not, when someone wakes up from sleep, how do you greet them? It puts you in an awkward situation. So, Sang-jin, don't do that next time," which made Choi Daniel say, "Hearing you say that feels refreshing, brother," provoking more laughter.
Yoo Jae-suk also asked Han Sang-jin, "What do you hear the most from Director Park (your wife)?" Han Sang-jin replied, "Shut up," or "Stop that." Choi Daniel remarked, "That's what I say to my dog, Songi," and Nam Chang-hee laughed, saying, "That sounds about right."
Han Sang-jin shared, "One shocking thing I recently heard was, 'But I don't think I'm meant to hear this today.' My wife is busy with the season, and I guess I really missed people." Yoo Jae-suk understood, saying, "Sang-jin often craves human connection. While the director needs to be with the team during the season, Sang-jin misses that."
While talking, Han Sang-jin bragged that his wife bought him a new phone, saying, "She still finds it awkward when I appear on TV. So when I mentioned, 'I had a lot of fun,' she said, 'If it surpasses a million views, I'll buy you a new phone.' But as soon as it hit a million views, it jumped so quickly that my wife was taken aback." He added, "But the next day, she bought it for me."
Additionally, Han Sang-jin shared an episode with his mother-in-law, saying, "My mother-in-law is Mrs. Lim from Haeundae. She's graceful, elegant, and beautiful. Every time I call, she says, 'Oh, Han's son-in-law, where are you?' But after 'Pinkeigo,' when I called, she asked, 'Oh, is Han's son-in-law with Yoo Jae-suk?' I assumed her friend was next to her. Then she said, 'Oh, give my regards to Jae-suk.'"
He continued, "My mother-in-law invited me over for a meal, and she served me beef short ribs. She usually prepares many delicious dishes, but that day she prepared so much that it was almost too much for me to eat alone," and Choi Daniel responded, "It seems definitely different." Nam Chang-hee, overhearing this, added, "Depending on whether they know Yoo Jae-suk or not, the treatment is different. In South Korea, it's Yoo Jae-suk!" This added to the humor.
After the episode of Choi Daniel, Yoo Jae-suk imposed a ban on his guest appearances on "Pinkeigo." Choi Daniel shared, "I've only been to Jeju Island once in my life since I was born. I don't particularly enjoy traveling. Just the journey of packing a suitcase and heading to the airport is exhausting," he admitted.
He shared, "After the 2017 drama 'Jugglers' ended, one of my acquaintances, actor Kim Gi-nam, mentioned he had never been to Jeju Island. So he took me with him to Jeju." He continued, "Upon arriving at the airport, I saw palm trees—it was fascinating. It didn't feel like Korea. But since there were just the two of us, there wasn't much to do. So we ended up at a PC bang playing shooting games," which prompted laughter. Yoo Jae-suk remarked, "That's impressive. You went to Jeju but opted to go to a PC bang," and Choi Daniel added, "We spent two nights and pulled all-nighters gaming at the PC bang."
Choi Daniel specifically mentioned, "And I heard there's a sex museum in Jeju Island," prompting Han Sang-jin to correct, "It's a sex museum." Choi Daniel quickly added, "I'm sorry, it's a sex museum," which made Yoo Jae-suk chuckle as he replied, "I'm sorry. I won't invite them again. I really won't call them back." Nam Chang-hee quickly intervened, saying, "It's Loveland. Call it Loveland, not a sex museum," to avert further miscommunication. Yoo Jae-suk emphasized, "I won't be inviting them back. I'll wrap it up here today."
Continuing with the conversation, Choi Daniel explained, "But that place has a lot of exhibits, and everything for eating is shaped like that," prompting Yoo Jae-suk to intervene, saying, "Stop right there. Don't talk about anymore Jeju episodes. No more episodes for both of you," which elicited more laughter.
As the endless episodes continued, Yoo Jae-suk stated, "It's time for us to go," but added, "However, Sang-jin and Daniel's stories aren't finished yet." Han Sang-jin expressed regret, saying, "Originally, I came here to discuss Daniel's late entry on 'Pinkeigo.'"
Yoo Jae-suk noted, "Oh, I didn't get to mention that. We will talk about it next time," to which Han Sang-jin promised, "I will bring the original letter. And I'll also share the episode where Chang-hee and Se-ho had a fight, nearly ruining our year-end gathering."
