Singer Koo Jun-yeob has been reported to create a statue of his late wife, the late Seo Hee-won. In contrast, a conflicting news piece highlights that her ex-husband, businessman Wang Sobi (Wang Xiaopei), is set to hold a wedding with his remarried wife.
According to earlier reports from local media in Taiwan, Koo Jun-yeob has started making a commemorative statue of Seo Hee-won with a designer friend. The statue is expected to be erected in the area of notable stones, slightly away from Seo Hee-won's grave. Family members also support the establishment of the statue. Perhaps for this reason, Koo Jun-yeob is said to still be staying in Taiwan. While some speculate he might return to Korea, it is said that he will not leave Taiwan until the statue of the late Seo Hee-won is completed.
Recently, Koo Jun-yeob, who attended Seo Hee-won's funeral, appeared in a very gaunt state, drawing concerned attention about his return to activities. He has effectively suspended his activities indefinitely. Currently, Seo Hee-won's brother Seo Hee-je and other family members are reportedly comforting Koo Jun-yeob by having meals together weekly during this time of loss, and a close friend has come from abroad to be by his side.
In stark contrast to Koo Jun-yeob, who has reportedly lost 12 kg, her ex-husband, businessman Wang Sobi (Wang Xiaopei), is remarried. Local media such as ET Today and STNN reported that in March, Wang Sobi is scheduled to ring wedding bells with his Taiwanese wife Mandy (Ma Xiao Mei) in May. His second wedding ceremony will take place at a hotel in his hometown of Beijing, China.
Of course, there were concerns that the wedding might be postponed due to the sudden death of the ex-wife Seo Hee-won in February, but Wang Sobi is proceeding with the wedding plans as scheduled. Notably, his new wife Mandy is reportedly actively preparing for pregnancy, which has also drawn attention.
Meanwhile, the late Seo Hee-won passed away on February 2 in a hospital in Tokyo, Japan. After departing for a trip to Japan with family on the 29th of last month, she was transported to the emergency room on the third day of the trip but ultimately passed away due to pneumonia caused by the flu.
Notably, while Wang Sobi holds custody of the two children, controversies regarding Seo Hee-won's large estate have begun. This is of interest as the deceased had conflicts with her ex-husband Wang Sobi, including issues related to unpaid living expenses, property division, and custody, prior to her passing. Attention has been drawn to the whereabouts of Seo Hee-won's 120 billion won estate.
Amidst numerous speculations, it has been recently reported that the family has agreed under Taiwan law for Koo Jun-yeob and the two children to each receive one-third of Seo Hee-won's estate. However, with the death of Seo Hee-won, the biological father Wang Sobi is anticipated to manage two-thirds of the 10 billion won.
