Actors Jung Woo-sung and Lee Jung-jae recently met with representatives from Alibaba Group's affiliated entertainment company in Beijing, China.
On the 4th, according to the industry, Jung Woo-sung and Lee Jung-jae visited Alibaba Group's entertainment company located in Chaoyang District, Beijing, and discussed the production of South Korea-China co-produced films.
Alibaba is a leading big tech corporation in China, operating Alibaba Pictures, which is responsible for film production and distribution, and Youku, known as 'China's YouTube.' Various films, such as 'Green Book' and 'The Wandering Earth,' have been produced or distributed through Alibaba Pictures.
This meeting drew attention as Jung Woo-sung, who had not been seen publicly since last year's controversy regarding his extramarital child, was accompanied by Lee Jung-jae. A photo of Lee Jung-jae and Jung Woo-sung with China's prominent actress Zhu Dongwu was shared on Chinese social media platform Weibo, generating buzz.
Local media reported that individuals presumed to be filmmakers attended the meeting, which appears to have included discussions on new film collaboration plans. They allegedly engaged in conversation for more than two hours before leaving together.
According to Artist Company, they stated, 'This visit was for meetings with Chinese entertainment companies with whom they have consistently exchanged ideas.'
