Chef Jeong Ji-seon, who previously revealed a threefold increase in sales on 'House on the Block', caught attention by looking at Item 3 at the site in Yeonhui-dong.
On the 3rd, the MBC entertainment show 'House on the Block' visited Chinatown.
On this day, they headed to Daerim-dong, known as 'the Chinatown of Seoul'. Kim Sook was accompanied by the master of Chinese cuisine, Chef Jeong Ji-seon, and rapper Nucksal.
In particular, Daerim-dong was filled with Chinese food to the extent that there were no franchises. The deposit is in the billions, and the monthly rent is said to be 4 to 5 million won. However, Chef Jeong Ji-seon was intrigued by this; when Kim Sook said, 'It seems doable here, I think it will work', Chef Jeong said, 'I will try this' and made a reservation for the Daerim-dong property, drawing interest.
They headed to a Chinese restaurant next. Nucksal was shocked while looking at parts of a pig such as the tongue, brain, and nose, whereas Jeong Ji-seon, who claims to eat at least 10 meals during trips, said, 'Depending on the day, I sometimes eat up to 15' and noted, 'I eat to study.' They even tried the pig's heart at the restaurant. Tasting the heart first, Nucksal was shocked by the realistic flavor of the nose; Kim Sook also said, 'Why are the nostrils so big?' yet was surprised to find it 'tasty'. Next, they challenged duck head, with Jeong Ji-seon saying, 'I will eat the brain,' and describing it as 'feeling like eating fish liver' as they tasted it without hesitation. Nucksal, who had no choice but to try it, exclaimed, 'I thought it was meat but it was brain,' stating, 'It just tastes like brain' while being shocked. Initially surprised, Kim Sook unexpectedly found it 'tasty' and made them laugh.
Continuing on to Yeonhui-dong, the original Chinatown. The three began in front of Chef Lee Yeon-bok's restaurant. Kim Sook commented, 'At one point, I wanted to find a property here and saw that Chef Lee Yeon-bok was firmly holding onto not only the area but also the market.' Jeong Ji-seon noted, 'There are many Chinese restaurants, so I've been exploring popular eateries.' He continued, saying, 'I keep looking at buildings.' When asked about the area next to oyster jjambbong, Jeong Ji-seon replied, 'It's not impossible, but out of courtesy,' keeping his words to himself.
Kim Sook remarked, 'Now that I think about it, only the back of my head is showing. I'm only looking at stores,' to which Jeong Ji-seon replied, 'I'm currently preparing for Item 3,' making everyone laugh. He added, 'It needs to be on the main street with a floating population; it's too quiet, Chinese food needs to be lively,' saying, 'I'm considering Yeonhui-dong.' Everyone burst into laughter at the thorough inspection of his future store as Jeong Ji-seon stated, 'Don't get me wrong, I'm a person selling dim sum; I don't sell jjajangmyeon or jjambbong,' prompting everyone to laugh and ask if he really isn't handling jjajangmyeon and jjambbong.
