Choi Min-ho (affiliated with SME) is expected to present a unique joy to audiences with the play 'Rendezvous.'
Choi Min-ho has announced that he will play the role of 'Tae-seop,' a rocket research and development engineer, in the play 'Rendezvous' (written and directed by Yossef K. Junghan), which tells the story of two people crushed by the weight of life who accidentally meet and heal each other's wounds.
Tae-seop, played by Choi Min-ho, is a scientist who has confined himself to his own rules in an attempt to escape painful memories, and he is predicted to dramatically depict the happenings when he accidentally meets Ji-hee (played by Kim Ha-ri), who has returned to the past to break free from the wounds that tortured him, without leaving the stage for 100 minutes.
In addition, audience members are seated on both sides of a rectangular stage reminiscent of a fashion show runway, with the two characters constantly moving on a treadmill, expressing their inability to close the distance through a stunning stage design, providing a unique experience for viewers.
Choi Min-ho is also devoted to practice tirelessly to perfectly execute the dance that connects the continuously flowing lines and characters, and he is reportedly uplifting the atmosphere on set with his unique energy, garnering great praise from the staff.
In particular, like his first theater challenge, 'Waiting for Godot,' Choi Min-ho has achieved an amazing record of selling out all performances in advance for 'Rendezvous' as well, demonstrating his outstanding ticket power, leading to much interest in his new acting transformation.
Meanwhile, the play 'Rendezvous,' in which Choi Min-ho stars, will be performed at the Seoul Arts Center's Free Theater from Apr. 5 (Sat) to May 11 (Sun).
