Na Young-seok PD openly confessed his feelings after leaving KBS.
On 4th, a video titled "My first job, that time of NA" was posted on the YouTube channel "Channel 15ya."
That day, Na Young-seok visited the KBS entertainment department for the first time in 13 years to appear on "The Seasons - Lee Young-ji's Rainbow." On the day of filming, Na Young-seok said, "I really feel like I'm going to a schedule. My clothes are hanging, and I'm sitting in a car driven by a junior from tvN. When the production team said, "You're back like a gold medalist," he laughed and replied, "I don't know if it's really like a gold medalist."
Then the production team asked, "Did you ever think while leaving, 'I should visit once'?" Na Young-seok opened up, saying, "I don't know if those who have transitioned jobs will relate, but I entered KBS thinking it was naturally a lifelong job. I thought I should work hard here and bury my bones, and that's how I worked.
Continuing, he hesitated and said, "This part might be difficult to broadcast, but I was really happy while working at KBS. I learned the most there and met many good colleagues, so I think I worked joyfully." He reminisced about the past, saying, "Although it was physically demanding, on the other hand, it was a time when I was in my 30s and 40s, filled with passion and enthusiasm—wasn't that the hottest time?"
Na Young-seok revealed, "I went through various processes and changed jobs. Honestly, when I switched to tvN, I came back to KBS after about a year. I drove around a bit. I didn't get out of the car."
At that time, he said he lived in Hapjeong. Na Young-seok confessed, "I was just making excuses to go back. Sometimes I would drop by as if it were a coincidence, and I would run into seniors on the street by making appointments in front of KBS. It's really funny, but I was doing those kinds of actions."
When the production team asked, "Nostalgia? Disappointment? Yearning?" Na Young-seok replied, "It seems to be yearning. In fact, it's a place where I built a lot of affection as a previous workplace and a company, so I have a desire to see them, but it felt a bit strange to contact them directly now that I've transitioned jobs. I've already changed jobs. Changing jobs is like divorcing from this person, but I'm still close with my in-laws."
He continued, "When I see each other, we say, 'Are you here?' but it doesn't feel quite the same as before. Then I got close to people in my new workplace, so I haven't seen them. But even when I go to KBS, there are seniors who taught me work and scolded me, and juniors to whom I taught work and scolded."
The production team asked, "Do you still feel that it's your company?" Na Young-seok stated, "That's one-sided. I have yearning. Since I left, I've just kept it to myself and lived on."
Finally, Na Young-seok expressed, "Do you know what's the most heartbreaking after quitting a company? I left KBS, and when I went there for something, the parking barrier wouldn't open. I was surprised at that time. I have to return my employee ID. When I went to return it at the end, that staff member said, 'Na PD, you've worked hard. Keep this as a souvenir.' So I still have it at home," evoking a sense of nostalgia.
