Yang Na-rae talked about the income of divorce lawyers.
On April 2, MBC's 'Radio Star' featured a special program 'Law Bless You' with profiler Kwon Il-yong, police officer Lee Dae-woo, lawyer Yang Na-rae, and singer DinDin.
Yang Na-rae selected infidelity as the number one reason for divorce. Yang Na-rae said, "In cases of divorce due to infidelity, there are instances where individuals are caught and divorce immediately, but sometimes I thought I could forgive and try to live well, but it cannot be forgiven, or later the spouse becomes brazen and conflicts escalate to divorce."
Kwon Il-yong also resonated, saying, "The number one cause of homicide between couples is also infidelity." Kim Gu-ra asked, "You said you would forgive, but what if they keep saying something every day?"
Yang Na-rae said, "If you decide to forgive but still hold resentment and constantly probe the issue for 2 or 3 years, it could be a ground for blame."
Moreover, Yang Na-rae said, "To forgive infidelity carries significant weight. Legally, if forgiveness is granted, after 6 months, one cannot file for divorce over that issue. This means if the law has agreed to forgive each other, it signifies to live well together."
Yang Na-rae said, "When I was in law school, I won first place in a moot court competition regarding corporations. The lawyer image I dreamed of was that of a high-powered woman. However, as I dealt with family cases, I realized that nothing is as important as family. I thought that working on cases was rewarding and enjoyable."
Yang Na-rae talked about the occupational hazards of divorce lawyers. Yang Na-rae said, "One thing that has changed since becoming a divorce lawyer is that I became more concerned with appearances than before. However, to become a good divorce lawyer, one needs to be a good listener and show empathy."
Yang Na-rae attracted attention by saying, "Understanding and empathizing with my situation is crucial to win the case." Yang Na-rae added, "A lawyer's job is to fight through written documents. Actual trials end within 1 or 2 minutes. A divorce lawyer must also be good at writing emotional texts."
DinDin asked, "This might be a low-level question, but can I ask? Which part of the law earns the most money?"
Yang Na-rae said, "It's case by case, but lately, there are many divorce cases," indirectly referencing her abundant income. Yang Na-rae stated, "In a lawsuit, winning is important, but I believe the most crucial thing is for the parties to resolve their grievances and clear their emotional burdens."
