Hong Jin Kyung was moved to meet Kim Jong Kook for the first time in 28 years on 'Problematic Men in the Attic'.
The season 2 premiere of 'Problematic Men in the Attic' aired on KBS2TV on the 3rd.
That day, Hong Jin Kyung looked at Kim Jong Kook and said, "This brother has changed a lot; he used to wear a suit and hardly spoke, but now he talks a lot. I can't believe how quiet he was," to which Kim Jong Kook replied with a laugh, "If I can't talk more than the two of us today, I might get a disease that prevents me from sleeping at home," while Yang Se Chan noted, "I was surprised when Hong Jin Kyung called him brother." It turned out they hadn't seen each other in over a decade.
Hong Jin Kyung stated, "This is really the first time we've met since the 'Turbo' days after such a long time," and referenced a video from 28 years ago showing her surprise visit to Kim Jong Kook's residence. She added, "It feels like I time-traveled seeing how much this brother has changed," to which Kim Jong Kook remarked, "It feels like time has stopped from the 90s broadcasts."
In response, everyone asked, "Did the two ever fight or have some romantic tension?" Kim Jong Kook answered firmly, "That's not the case," while Hong Jin Kyung asserted, "We might have had some romance; why do you look so serious? It's not something we can't talk about. We could have had romance," referring humorously to their reunion as 'ssam' rather than romantic 'some.'
Meanwhile, KBS 2TV's 'Problematic Men in the Attic' will air on the 3rd at 8:30 p.m.
