YG Baby Monster's first full-length album double title track 'DRIP' performance video has surpassed 100 million views on YouTube.
According to YG Entertainment on the 3rd, the 'DRIP' performance video exceeded 100 million views on YouTube around 4:52 a.m. that day. It has been approximately 148 days since it was released on Nov. 5 last year.
Together with the music video, which has already surpassed 200 million views, it is driving dual popularity. It has received positive reviews for its choreography featuring energetic movements using arms and legs, expressive gestures showcasing a trendy vibe, and the members' overflowing energy, capturing the inherent charm of performance that was not seen in the music video.
As a result, Baby Monster now holds a total of 9 videos with over 100 million views. They set new records for K-pop girl groups with the shortest time to reach 100 million views (10 days), 200 million views (33 days), and recently achieved 300 million views with their official 'SHEESH' music video and performance video, along with 'BATTER UP' (300 million views), 'CLIK CLAK' (100 million views), 'FOREVER' (100 million views), and 'Stuck In The Middle' (100 million views) music videos all achieving the same view count.
'DRIP' has also achieved remarkable results. It broke its own records, ranking 16th on Billboard Global (Billboard Global Excl. U.S) and 30th on the Billboard Global 200, while the regular first album [DRIP] entered the main chart, 'Billboard 200,' for the first time at 149th place. In Korea, it continues to chart for an extended period across major music charts, including Melon TOP100.
Meanwhile, Baby Monster's debut first world tour '2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR' is also making steady progress. Having successfully completed concerts in Seoul, Newark, Los Angeles, Kanagawa, and Aichi, they will start their Osaka concert on the 3rd. Additionally, not only in Asia but also in newly added North American schedules, they will meet fans across 20 cities and 32 performances worldwide.
