Comedian and singer An So-mi has signed an exclusive contract with Mama Entertainment.
On the 3rd, Mama Entertainment announced the contract with An So-mi, stating, "We are happy to be working with An So-mi. We will do our best to ensure An So-mi can showcase her talents across various platforms, including broadcasting and YouTube." Mama Entertainment's representative Jo Sung-hwan noted, "We will support her wholeheartedly to the best of our abilities."
In particular, An So-mi raised expectations by sharing the news of her exclusive contract with fans through her official social media channel. An So-mi expressed her enthusiasm for her activities, saying, "I have gained another strong support! Though it's late, I plan to start again from the beginning."
Joining forces with Mama Entertainment, An So-mi debuted as a comedian in KBS’s 24th open recruitment in 2009 and gained public recognition through "Gag Concert." She later participated in TV CHOSUN's "Miss Trot 2," impressing audiences with her exceptional vocal skills, making a strong mark as a solo artist.
Not only with "Miss Trot 2," An So-mi has also been active as a singer, releasing the exciting EDM dance songs "Chimaek" and "Oppaya" in 2023. She has displayed her versatility and talent by appearing on the relatable sketch comedy YouTube channel "Ttooshot." It remains to be seen what path An So-mi will take with the support of Mama Entertainment.
Mama Entertainment, which announced a new beginning with An So-mi, is home to several artists, including singer Jeong Mi-ae. With Mama Entertainment, An So-mi is expected to meet the public in 2025 with broader activities.
