Singer Park Jae-jung will release a live album titled 'Original Song | THE LIVE ALBUM', which includes new songs, on the 24th.
'Original Song | THE LIVE ALBUM' is a live album featuring performances from Park Jae-jung's previous concert while serving in the active Army since enlisting in May last year, following the major success of 'Let's Break Up.'
Since 2021, Park Jae-jung has been holding annual concerts under the name 'Letter.' In 2023, he showcased his last concert titled 'Alone' prior to enlistment in January 2024 under the title 'And.'
According to his agency, Park Jae-jung delivered high-quality performances with elaborate arrangements featuring extravagant sessions and collaborations with an orchestra for the concerts, leading to an overwhelming number of requests from fans for a live album after each concert. In response, Park Jae-jung prepared a live album that compiles the concerts from 2022's 'Letter 1.5', 2023's 'Alone', and 2024's 'And.'
The album consists of 13 tracks, and it is said that the agency's staff worked diligently on the post-production for over five months after Park Jae-jung's enlistment to ensure both the live ambiance and sound quality.
This album includes the most perfect live version of Park Jae-jung's most representative song, 'Let's Break Up,' as well as rearranged versions of songs like 'One Step' and 'It was Good,' which differ from the existing recordings. It also features songs that fans can only hear at concerts, such as 'As Much as I Loved' and 'If I Could Be Reborn,' which are sure to delight Park Jae-jung's fans.
Additionally, a new song titled 'Original Song' is placed as the first track, like a kind of bonus track. 'Original Song' is a song that producer Park Jae-jung created for Kim Chang-woon during the Mnet survival show 'Super Giant Karaoke Survival VS' broadcast in 2023, and it is also a song that fans have been eagerly requesting to hear Park Jae-jung's version. After much contemplation, the demo version recorded by Park Jae-jung at the time was mixed and released as an audio track.
The physical album of 'Original Song | THE LIVE ALBUM' will be packaged similarly to Park Jae-jung's first regular album 'Alone,' with a separate booklet containing photographs from previous concert performances. Pre-orders for the physical album will start on the 17th through various online music sales sites.
