Villains Everywhere delivered a significant message in a broadcast a day before the impeachment ruling.
The March 3 episode of KBS2's Wednesday sitcom Villains Everywhere (written by Chae Woo, Park Kwang-yeon; directed by Kim Yeong-jo, Choi Jeong-eun) depicted the family's resistance against the dictatorship of Seo Hyun-cheol (Seo Hyun-cheol).
In that day's broadcast, Seo Hyun-cheol felt bad that important family affairs were being conducted without his knowledge, despite being the head of the family. He was troubled, stating that his prestige as the head of the household was not being respected. In particular, after seeing his wife, Oh Na-ra, lavish gifts on family members using the money from their savings while flaunting it, Seo Hyun-cheol ultimately exploded, pointing out her attitude, and they had a major fight.
As all gifts were canceled due to Oh Na-ra's rampage, all blame fell on Seo Hyun-cheol. However, the situation turned around when the group leader ran away with the money. Seo Hyun-cheol declared an austerity policy, stating, “From now on, no one can use a single sheet of toilet paper or a drop of water without my permission. My word is law, and my word is truth.” In an instant, he took control of the household, even checking the household finances and perfectly establishing the hierarchy.
Ultimately, after Oh Na-ra exploded and said she would go to get the money, Seo Hyun-cheol completely took over the household. He cut off his son Seo Yeong-hoon’s (Jeong Min-kyu) games and prevented Seo In-na (Han Seong-min) from going out. Kwon Won-hee (Choi Ye-na) could not even wash her hair freely, and Song Kang (Eun Chan) had to bring two more friends to use the bathroom. On the other hand, Oh Yoo-jin, who revolted against Seo Hyun-cheol’s tyranny, caught hold of his weakness and collaborated with him to enjoy power while acting as Seo Hyun-cheol's informant.
As a result, the family began to rebel against the connection between Seo Hyun-cheol and Oh Na-ra. They called the two outside and changed the passwords, creating a standoff while shouting, “Down with dictatorship, guarantee freedom.” They managed to block Seo Hyun-cheol and Oh Yoo-jin, who broke in, with a scrum and finally succeeded in gaining their freedom. Seo Hyun-cheol stamped a document guaranteeing personal freedom.
Oh Na-ra succeeded in locating the group leader through tarot readings with the group members, but many who were deceived by the group leader were unable to retrieve their money. Returning to the jjimjilbang, Oh Na-ra found the group leader hiding there through the tarot reading and triumphantly returned home after recovering the money.
