The story of the dancing conductor Baek Yoon-hak has been revealed.
On the 2nd, the dancing conductor Baek Yoon-hak appeared as a guest on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block.'
Baek Yoon-hak said, "Honestly, I wasn't trying to dance; conducting is about showing movements that fit the music, and I think this style of conducting is suitable for animation music."
An orchestra member noted, "I honestly got to know the teacher while watching YouTube," and followed the dancing of conductor Baek Yoon-hak, making everyone laugh. Trombone player Choi Jeong-won said, "I tried to hold back my laughter by tightly closing my eyes and pinching my thigh. Later, I found it was blue and bruised. Now I just laugh."
Baek Yoon-hak said, "I introduced instruments to the kids, and there was a part where the sound of the harp comes out, so I awkwardly showed ballet movements," making everyone laugh.
The percussion members said, "We also started to shake together, thinking we couldn't lose. One day, the conductor asked which side we would start from," which made everyone burst into laughter.
Baek Yoon-hak attracted attention by saying that he majored in electrical engineering at Seoul National University. He noted, "I was active in an amateur choir during college. It felt like I was getting closer to music. In my third year, I needed to find a conductor, and the previous conductor mentioned that the next conductor would be Baek Yoon-hak," referring to the previous conductor as one of the male professors in the choir, Wonyoungseok.
