Siwoo Min and Choo Sojeong teamed up.
On March 31 (Mon.) and April 1 (Tue.), the episodes 3 and 4 of the Why Not Media drama "Heo's Diner" (directed by Oh Hwanmin and Kim Kyungeun, written by Seong Sohyun) depicted Heo Gyu (played by Siwoo Min) starting a partnership with the daughter of the rice table house, Bong Eunsil (played by Choo Sojeong).
Heo Gyu, who first discovered Eunsilmo (played by Kim Heejeong), who had suffered an unfortunate accident, was investigated as a suspect by Detective Kang (played by Oh Jiho). Not knowing what was happening, Heo Gyu was taken in for questioning, but found himself in an awkward situation due to not understanding the differences between identification cards and family registers from the Joseon era and modern times. During this process, Heo Gyu recalled an assassin (played by Oh Jiho) who had tried to kill him in the past while observing Detective Kang, who confined him in the detention center and threatened him.
Meanwhile, it was revealed that Chef Lee Hyuk (played by Lee Seon) from the restaurant across from the rice table house had met Eunsilmo on the day of the accident. Detective Kang unnerved everyone by destroying evidence linking Lee Hyuk to Eunsilmo's (mother's) accident in exchange for handling his dirty work. The significant relationship between the two added to the tension.
On the other hand, Eunsil unexpectedly became the acting owner of the rice table house when her mother's absence caused the business to halt. Struggling financially due to hospital bills, Eunsil attempted to enter into a sales contract with Lee Hyuk, who offered to buy at a price higher than the market rate, but she hesitated, unable to give up hope that her mother would wake up and return.
In a predicament, Eunsil, a natural cooking fool, met again with Heo Gyu during his visit to the hospital. Later, she learned that Heo Gyu was a culinary genius. After tasting the food her mother made, Heo Gyu effortlessly recreated the dish. Impressed by Heo Gyu's cooking, Eunsil proposed that he work as the chef and suggested, "Let’s team up and run this rice table house together!"
Thus, Heo Gyu and Eunsil began their partnership in the rice table house, growing closer as they went out shopping from early dawn. During this process, Heo Gyu instinctively felt that his time slip was related to the old man (played by Woo Hyun), who disguised himself as a market merchant and reminded him of past memories. The reason the old man continued to linger around Heo Gyu piqued curiosity about future developments.
Lee Hyuk grew uneasy and furious upon hearing that Heo Gyu and Eunsil were running the rice table house. Furthermore, he faced a crisis with his all-important honor at risk due to the interruption of filming an advertisement with CF star Jeong Misol (played by Lee Su Min). With Heo Gyu, Eunsil, Lee Hyuk, and Misol becoming intricately intertwined, the next chapter awaits to see if Heo Gyu and Eunsil can successfully manage the rice table house.
"Heo's Diner" is co-planned by Why Not Media, Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures, and Corpus Japan, produced by The Great Show, and the fifth episode will be released on the 7th (Mon.) at 5 p.m. on Netflix and Wavve, at 7 p.m. on Watcha and Tving, and at 9 p.m. on MBN Plus.
