HYBE is contributing to the restoration of national heritage damaged by the large forest fire that recently occurred in the Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk regions.
HYBE announced on the 2nd that it will donate 1 billion won to the Korea Heritage Service and the Cultural Heritage Citizen Trust. The Cultural Heritage Citizen Trust is a special corporation under the Korea Heritage Service, established in 2007 to preserve and manage cultural heritage.
The donation will be used to repair and restore national heritage that was burned or lost in this forest fire and to restore the surrounding environment. According to the Korea Heritage Service, a total of 33 cases of national heritage damage have occurred, including the state-designated cultural heritage site, Uiseong Gowonsa.
HYBE noted, "We extend deep condolences and heartfelt sympathy to all those affected by the forest fire," adding, "As a content corporation engaged in the cultural industry, we hope to contribute, even in a small way, to the restoration of national heritage."
The Cultural Heritage Citizen Trust expressed gratitude to HYBE for its support in restoring and recovering the value of the national heritage affected by the forest fire, saying, "We will swiftly proceed with the procedures for the restoration of the damaged national heritage in cooperation with the Korea Heritage Service to ensure value recovery."
