BTS's J-Hope penetrated the Billboard 'Hot 100' chart once again.
According to the latest chart from the American music media Billboard announced on April 1, J-Hope's digital single 'MONA LISA' debuted at No. 65 on the Billboard main song chart 'Hot 100.' With this, J-Hope has made his 7th entry into the 'Hot 100' chart as a solo artist, tying the record for the most entries by a K-pop solo artist. The previous record holder is BTS's Jungkook.
J-Hope has consistently achieved success on the 'Hot 100,' starting with 'Chicken Noodle Soup (feat. Becky G)' at No. 81 in 2019, followed by the double title tracks 'MORE' at No. 82 and 'Arson' at No. 96 from his first solo album 'Jack In The Box' in 2022, and his 2023 solo single 'on the street (with J. Cole)' at No. 60.
In particular, J-Hope achieved a remarkable feat this year alone by landing three songs on the 'Hot 100' consecutively, including 'LV Bag (feat. j-hope & Pharrell Williams)' at No. 83, 'Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)' at No. 66, and 'MONA LISA.'
J-Hope also showcased his prominence on the global song chart. 'MONA LISA' reached No. 14 on the 'Global 200' and No. 9 on the 'Global (excluding U.S.)', marking his highest ranking yet. Notably, it entered the 'Top 10' on the 'Global (excluding U.S.)' chart for the first time, demonstrating its global popularity.
Additionally, 'MONA LISA' shot straight to No. 1 in 'Digital Song Sales,' proving its strength on various charts and confirming J-Hope's status as a global artist.
The solo works of BTS members also continue to enjoy popularity. J-Hope's other digital single 'Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)' has been on the 'Global 200' at No. 41 and 'Global (excluding U.S.)' at No. 21 for three consecutive weeks. Meanwhile, Jimin's second solo album 'MUSE' title track 'Who' stayed at No. 45 on the 'Global 200', and Jungkook's first solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' at No. 120.
