In 'Solo, So', Choi Daniel recalled the time he met Hwang Jung-eum's ex-husband Lee Young-don.

On that day, Choi Daniel met Hwang Jung-eum. Choi Daniel said, "I went to the wedding venue, I went to the newlywed home," and noted, "I went to everything that mattered." Hwang Jung-eum commented, "15 years ago, 24-year-old Daniel, (now 39) seemed to have not changed at all," adding, "You look so great, you haven't aged a bit," to which Choi Daniel replied, "I've aged too."
Choi Daniel said while listening to Hwang Jung-eum's struggles, "I was also worried after our currency, I personally prayed that you could do well after that currency." Hwang Jung-eum noted, "You are a warm friend I can always lean on and talk to, even if we don't talk often, it's nice when you contact me after reading an article about difficult times."
Choi Daniel cautiously began, "Actually, I thought about contacting you immediately after seeing the divorce article, knowing there would be many contacts from elsewhere, so I called late." Hwang Jung-eum shared, "It was the first experience I've ever had since I was born, and it was incredibly tough at that time. But when I received your call, I was so grateful, it felt like a friend I had been seeing continuously despite not seeing each other for a long time."
In particular, Choi Daniel mentioned Hwang Jung-eum's ex-husband, saying, "He had a good vibe, but he felt busy," noting that he left the table even during meals. When Choi Daniel asked, "Is it because of business?" Hwang Jung-eum replied, "I thought it was business," adding with a laugh, "He was always very busy." Choi Daniel remarked, "Only the two of us know the real reasons," keeping his words measured.
Meanwhile, Hwang Jung-eum married businessman Lee Young-don, a former professional golfer, in 2016 and has two sons, but announced their divorce last February.
