"Catch Your Luck" showcases the essence of a delightful and touching family drama.

Set to premiere on the evening of the 14th at 8:30 p.m., the new KBS 1TV daily drama "Catch Your Luck" (written by Son Ji-hye, directed by Park Man-young and Lee Hae-woo) depicts the tumultuous growth story of three friends—those with money, those without money, and those who want to have money—and their families.

In the drama, Son Chang-min, Sunu Jae-deok, and Park Sang-myeon portray characters who were friends since childhood—namely Han Mu-cheol, Kim Dae-sik, and Choi Gyu-tae—renowned for their loyalty. Lee Ah-hyun, Oh Young-sil, and Ahn Yeon-hong take on the roles of the trio's female companions, Im Mi-ja, Lee Hye-sook, and Hwang Geum-ok. Having shared even a single piece of bread during childhood, the trio—Son Chang-min, Sunu Jae-deok, and Park Sang-myeon—now find themselves in a landlord and tenant relationship as adults. The delightful stories of the trio turned protagonists and their families, who face turning points in their lives, will evoke both laughter and emotion.

Amid anticipation as a promising work that continues the legacy of KBS 1TV daily dramas, writer Son Ji-hye revealed key points to watch for ahead of the premiere of "Catch Your Luck."

First, writer Son Ji-hye stated, "I wanted to write a unique daily drama. It felt boring to keep hearing about birth secrets, infidelities, and chaebols, so while thinking of interesting stories, I recalled mid-aged male friends."

Writer Son noted, "What if the relationship between three friends, who are living as 'superiors and subordinates' under the guise of friendship, were to be reversed, with 'money' at the center? This story began there. I captured the essence of how love, friendship, and family affection can change due to money."

Writer Son expressed a desire to convey a story about how the parent and child generations understand each other through "Catch Your Luck." She stated, "I want to ask what my true 'luck' is due to suddenly gained or lost money, and I want to deliver the message that the precious person beside me is the answer."

He also explained why 'money' became a key theme of the drama, saying, "Everyone wants money, but not everyone can have it, so we want to look away but ultimately cannot ignore it. This is an eternal and inseparable topic for human existence."

On the unique characteristics of "Catch Your Luck," he noted, "As you may have noticed from the previously released poster, "Catch Your Luck" primarily features middle-aged actors rather than young friends. The stories of middle-aged individuals, who previously appeared only as someone’s father or mother, become central to the narrative. I want to show that friendships and love in middle age can be this beautiful, through the past and present of those who once shone brightly as protagonists."

Finally, writer Son introduced key points to watch, saying, "I hope you will keep an eye on the dramatic changes in K-Scrooge Mu-cheol (played by Son Chang-min) after experiencing various events and how the relationships among friends change due to suddenly acquired money, depending on where they place the value of money."

The new KBS 1TV daily drama "Catch Your Luck" is set to premiere on the evening of the 14th at 8:30 p.m., following "Let’s Get Married, Maenggong-ah!"
