Lee Kyung-sil expressed concern for her son Son Bo-seung's upcoming military service.
On the March 31 broadcast of TV Chosun's 'The Loving Man of Chosun,' Lee Kyung-sil visited her son Son Bo-seung's house for the first time in five years.
Son Bo-seung prepared a meal for his mother Lee Kyung-sil, who he had not seen in five years. He asked while watching Lee Kyung-sil play with his son, 'What did you do to play with me when you were young?' He also asked, 'Ihun likes books, but what did I like?' In response, Lee Kyung-sil said, 'I don't remember. You liked to eat.'
Lee Kyung-sil said, 'The clothes were for a 5-year-old, but he wore clothes for a 9-year-old. It was stressful to go buy your clothes.' In response, Son Bo-seung shared that he found it stressful to talk about going shopping for clothes.
Son Bo-seung asked, 'Did you film every day after I was born?' Lee Kyung-sil replied, 'I was busy until 2017.' Then Son Bo-seung said, 'When I came home, I was so tired that I had to collapse. I think I need to get that tired to understand you, Mom.' Lee Kyung-sil said, 'If you keep it up, you will be like that too.'
While eating the curry made by Son Bo-seung, Lee Kyung-sil said, 'It's been a while since I had this.' She added, 'I was surprised when I came to your house that you have more household items than I expected,' and asked, 'Who bought the refrigerator and things like this?' Son Bo-seung replied, 'My wife's cousin bought them. The TV and sofa are used items.'
Lee Kyung-sil asked, 'Is it better than when we lived in a semi-basement house in the past?' Son Bo-seung replied, 'The old house had cockroaches and was drafty, so we lived with a tent. The master bedroom was as cold as a veranda.'
Lee Kyung-sil said, 'Your father told me that I would be heartbroken if you came to your house. After hearing that, I thought that I should find a place for you because of the baby.'
Son Bo-seung asked, 'Why did you get me a house when I rejected it?' Lee Kyung-sil responded, 'It's because I understand a daughter-in-law's feelings. And it's for the baby. Would a baby want to live in a house with cockroaches? I help when I can. I can't help anymore.'
Meanwhile, Lee Kyung-sil asked her son Son Bo-seung, 'Aren't you supposed to go to the military?' Son Bo-seung replied, 'If I go when Ihun enters elementary school, I could go even at thirty.' To this, Lee Kyung-sil said, 'I hope you go quickly and come back.'
Son Bo-seung explained that he had been designated as a social service agent due to his weight at age 20, but after dieting, he received a classification for active duty. He added, 'Now that I have a baby, I will serve full-time.'
Lee Kyung-sil said, 'If you can't earn living expenses while in the military, I will help you then.' Son Bo-seung said, 'If I get cast from my audition, I plan to do that before I leave. I'm looking to go around next winter.' In response, Lee Kyung-sil revealed her true feelings, saying, 'I hope you don't get cast before going to the military.'
Son Bo-seung stated, 'If I get that role, a project will come out right after I get discharged. That will make me feel at ease.'
