In the Channel A life-clinging detective true crime drama "Secrets of Detectives," there was a shocking development in a used car scam case where the whereabouts of "17 cars" were sought and turned into a drug case. Additionally, guest "KBO pretty boy" Yoo Hee-kwan felt real sweat over the shocking true story experienced by a professional baseball player in the "case notebook."
In the episode of "Secrets of Detectives" broadcast on the 31st, the "Galahad Detective Group" continued to pursue a case involving a mother and daughter who incurred a debt of 500 million won after lending their names to a man they knew. The "Galahad Detective Group" first sought advice on the used car market through representative Eom Man-ho, a used car dealer with 25 years of experience. After checking the list of 17 vehicles registered under the mother and daughter, Eom Man-ho expressed suspicion, saying, "Vehicles purchased at prices much lower than market value are guaranteed to have problems." The client's acquaintance had received a loan amount based not on the actual purchase price but on the market price through capital. Hence, there was suspicion that the acquaintance had embezzled the difference between the loan amount and the actual purchase price.
With the help of representative Eom Man-ho, the "Galahad Detective Group" identified the used car dealer who sold the vehicles to the target (the client's acquaintance) and went to see him. There, they encountered numerous people who claimed to know the target. The client's acquaintance was notoriously known in the industry for "money problems." Ultimately, with the help of used car dealers, the detective group located a junkyard that the target might have used. There were two vehicles of the client at that junkyard; however, one was burned to the point that only a shape remained, while the other had the front completely destroyed, resembling a wrecked vehicle. Both vehicles had been delivered to the junkyard with all usable parts completely gone. At another neighboring junkyard, it was confirmed that two more vehicles of the client were received in a severely wrecked condition and had since been scrapped. All these vehicles had been disposed of in violation of protocols, and the existence of the client's remaining 13 vehicles could vanish in the same manner.
Meanwhile, the target's agent contacted the client. He told the "Galahad Detective Group," "If an accident happens, everyone gets hurt. Let's negotiate without emotions." Then, the detective group finally had the opportunity to meet the target directly. During this meeting, the target demanded an apology from the client, claiming, "It’s an attempt to flip the table to hide what they did wrong. They used drugs," leaving a shocking statement. Facing an entirely unexpected development, writer Kim Poong remarked, "If this were not a true story but a novel, the author would be scolded for mixing genres." The investigation into the missing 17 vehicles takes a new turn for the "Galahad Detective Group."
Meanwhile, in the reenactment segment "Case Notebook - Truth Game," sports commentator and entertainment figure "KBO's big three pretty boys" Yoo Hee-kwan appeared as a guest. In that episode of "Case Notebook," a baseball player client who maintained a consistent first-team position in the professional baseball league sought help from a detective office, stating, "My wife, who used to focus only on supporting me after marriage, has changed." When the detective followed the client's wife, she was caught meeting a man and appeared distressed. The man threatened, saying, "Isn’t it ridiculous that a professional baseball player doesn’t have 50 million won? If this escalates, the losses will be on your side." Yoo Hee-kwan questioned, "Isn’t he a bad reporter demanding money under the pretense of exposing?"
The client’s wife explained to him, "That man is a distant cousin," but the detective began to investigate the true nature of their relationship. It turned out that the man who had demanded money was in a de facto relationship with a woman who had been a victim of school violence by the client's wife during high school. The victim, trying to forget her traumatic past, was undergoing psychiatric treatment after seeing the client's wife on broadcast living as a kind-hearted and beautiful "queen of support." While the client’s wife denied any involvement in the school violence and claimed it was unfair, she solicited false testimony from former classmates, asking them to "say nice things" about her. However, evidence of the school violence came pouring out through former classmates who had shared the same class as the two.
The client’s wife, upon directly meeting the victim of school violence, angrily remarked, "Are you really getting upset over childhood pranks?" However, when her husband became aware of everything, her attitude changed, and she said, "I apologize." The client, who had lived as a 'window display couple' for a time after discovering his wife's true nature, ultimately chose divorce as he could not endure his wife's past. Yoo Hee-kwan was left speechless for a while upon learning that the wife of the professional baseball player, who appeared as a gracious "queen of support," had been a terrible perpetrator of school violence.
