On the 31st, the TOP7 singers of TV Chosun's 'Mr. Trot 3'—Kim Yong-bin, Son Bin-a, Cheon Nok-dam, Chun Gil, Choi Jae-myung, Nam Seung-min, and Chu Hyuk-jin—donated 100 million won to the Korea Charity Foundation (chairman Kim Byung-jun) to help victims of the wildfires.
This donation was organized by the TOP7 to help local residents who suffered significant damage from the recent wildfires in the Yeongnam region. It is said that the TOP7 decided to contribute together to express their gratitude for the love from fans in light of the news of the devastating wildfires. The donation will be used for relief activities for the victims and support for recovery.
The Mr. Trot 3 TOP7 said, "We decided to donate with the hope that it would provide some comfort and help to those suffering from the wildfires" and added, "We sincerely hope that everyone's daily life returns to normal as soon as possible."
The original trot survival audition program TV Chosun's 'Mr. Trot 3,' which sparked a trot craze nationwide, has attracted attention with its enhanced new rules and format. The sharp evaluations from the two master groups and the appearance of 'Active Department X,' where contestants are judged solely on their abilities while hiding their faces, drew intense interest.
Participants Kim Yong-bin, Son Bin-a, Cheon Nok-dam, Chun Gil, Choi Jae-myung, Nam Seung-min, and Chu Hyuk-jin, who made it to the final TOP7, received great love for their explosive vocal abilities and individuality. They concluded their three-month journey with a season-high viewership rate of 19.6% on March 13 and have been successfully holding the Mr. Trot 3 TOP7 national tour concert since March 29.
