JYP Entertainment girl group NiziU held a countdown live to celebrate the release of their second Korean single 'LOVE LINE' and commemorate their first domestic comeback.
NiziU released their new single album 'LOVE LINE' and the title track 'LOVE LINE (Fate Line)' on March 31 at 6 p.m. This marked a welcome return approximately 1 year and 5 months after their Korean debut single 'Press Play' in October 2023. They shared various stories related to the new release and exchanged excitement with fans ahead of their comeback.
Mako, Rio, Maya, Riku, Ayaka, Mayuka, Rima, Miihi, and Nina said, "It's finally time for our comeback in Korea. We sincerely thank you for waiting so long. We wanted to talk with our Korean WithU (fandom name: WiJoo), so we came live, and we studied Korean hard enough to only converse in Korean with the members. Let's have a great time!"
They filled fans' hearts with activities such as album unboxing, watching and commenting on teaser videos for the title track 'LOVE LINE (Fate Line)' and the b-side 'What if,' and discussing album spoiler keywords. The members shared memorable episodes while preparing for the album, noting, "The group dance scenes in the music video took a long time to film, which stood out, and the chicken ganjeong we ate as a snack on set was very delicious." They also excitedly introduced the killing points of the new song, with Maya, Mayuka, and Rima showcasing parts of the title track's performance.
As they concluded the countdown live, filled with abundant talk and laughter, the nine members expressed, "We enjoyed our debut activities in Korea so much that we feel excited and happy to come back this way. We hope our WithU will enjoy the new album we prepared with so much effort, and we want to meet you soon on music shows. We hope you look forward to this activity a lot and love us, and we, NiziU, will work hard towards our goal of 'walking only flower paths.'"
NiziU's second Korean single 'LOVE LINE' includes a total of two songs: the title track 'LOVE LINE (Fate Line)' and the b-side 'What if.' 'LOVE LINE (Fate Line)' is a song that likens feelings toward someone you like to the 'fate line' in your palm, based on the story that "you are connected to your fated partner by a red thread." It is a dance song that reinterprets the city pop genre with a fast tempo, showcasing the nine members' bittersweet yet refreshing vocals as a key listening point.
Meanwhile, NiziU, who are energetically stretching for their long-awaited domestic activities, will actively promote with their comeback work 'LOVE LINE' and splash into the music scene this spring. From April 1 to April 10, they will open a pop-up cafe at The Soundwave, The Hyundai Seoul Yeouido, offering fans a variety of fun activities.
