Baseball player Ryu Hyun-jin and broadcaster Bae Ji-hyun shared their daily parenting life with two children.
On the 31st, a video titled "Victory! I have received a command to go to preschool! | First kindergarten journal, reality of a parenting mom's drop-off look" was uploaded to Bae Ji-hyun's YouTube channel.
That day, Bae Ji-hyun and Ryu Hyun-jin prepared for the drop-off of their two children. Bae Ji-hyun explained, "It's the first day, so (the load is) a lot. There is lotion, a set of indoor shoes and a toothbrush cup, water bottles, extra clothes, and wet wipes. Hyesung has relatively less, while Junsang has a lot. Junsang has extra diapers, extra clothes, wet wipes, and even a swimsuit.
Later, Ryu Hyun-jin said, "Junsang is wearing the same clothes as his sister?" and Bae Ji-hyun explained, "This is Hyesung's PE uniform. But it has shrunk." Ryu Hyun-jin pointed out, "Hyesung has become a sister, so the color of the bag has changed," and Bae Ji-hyun conveyed the reality of the younger sibling inheriting everything from the older sister, saying, "Hyesung gets everything new and Junsang gets everything used." Ryu Hyun-jin nodded and said, "That's right; younger siblings do that."
After finishing their preparations, the four of them went for the drop-off together. A staff member asked, "How did you find the time today, Ryu?" and Ryu Hyun-jin explained, "I finished my training camp, and today is my day off." Bae Ji-hyun said, "I came from Japan yesterday and I'm going to Daejeon today. It's funny how it coincides with the drop-off day. I also went with Hyesung on her first drop-off. The timing is just perfect."
He recalled, "On the first day when I dropped off Hyesung, she entered with a smile. At that time, they allowed me to watch on the monitor, so I sat and watched for a bit, but within 5 minutes, she burst into tears and came out. It seems like Hyesung took almost a month to fully adapt."
Bae Ji-hyun was worried about the response of her second child, Junsang, as he headed to his first kindergarten drop-off, but contrary to her concerns, Junsang entered the kindergarten without looking back. Ryu Hyun-jin expressed surprise, saying, "This is completely different from when Hyesung went," and Bae Ji-hyun worried, "Back then, she exploded after five minutes. Should we wait five minutes before we go?"
After dropping off the children, Ryu Hyun-jin and Bae Ji-hyun returned home. Bae Ji-hyun said, "I hope we receive a message. He's adapting too well," and felt relieved to hear that Junsang was eating lunch happily without crying. However, after receiving a call that he broke into tears right after lunch, they rushed to pick him up. Fortunately, from the next day, Junsang was shown to be adapting well without crying, which brought joy.
