'Way Back Love,' Kim Min-ha and Gong Myoung shared their breaths.
On the morning of the 1st, a production presentation for the TVING original series 'Way Back Love' was held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Yongsan, Seoul. Director Kim Hye-young, actors Gong Myoung, Kim Min-ha, Jung Gun-joo, and Oh Woo-ri attended the event to discuss.
'Way Back Love,' based on the novel of the same name by author Seo Eun-chae, is a youth fantasy romance where Hee-wan (played by Kim Min-ha), who had been drifting away from the world, encounters her first love, Ram-woo (played by Gong Myoung), who appears as the grim reaper.
On that day, when Kim Min-ha was asked about her chemistry with Gong Myoung, she said, "It really matched well. It was so comfortable. From the first time shooting the past scenes to four years later, I didn't have to struggle to fit the situation, and I was immersed. So, when we were in school, I wore my uniform and acted like a student when goofing around. I only have fun and good memories. However, when we were discussing the scenes or characters, we had never delved deeply, but at the scene, I understood right away. Sometimes, looking into his eyes made my heart ache, and as we repeated the scenes, my resolve came naturally. In that regard, he was the perfect co-actor," she praised.
Gong Myoung also expressed satisfaction, saying, "The highlight of our work is our chemistry. I take pride in it. The chemistry was great. Wherever I go, I tell people that Kim Min-ha is really the best. Kim Min-ha is so lovable and cute, and even on set, just looking at her made it easy to immerse myself, and the very act of breathing together allowed us to convey emotions, so our chemistry was unmatched."
When asked about the possibility of the phrase 'first love icon,' Kim Min-ha said, "If you see it, the first love icon is Gong Myoung, and I am the unrequited love icon. Hee-wan writes a letter to Ram-woo and has feelings for him. Isn't there anyone for the unrequited love icon?" she expressed her desire for a different title. Gong Myoung responded, "I think differently. If you watch this work, that title could be good for Min-ha," creating a warm atmosphere.
Meanwhile, 'Way Back Love' will be released on the 3rd via TVING.
