Rapper Noel (real name Jang Yong-jun) is gaining attention for a post on social media after the death of his father, former People Power Party lawmaker Jang Je-won.

On the morning of the 1st, Noel posted a handwritten letter on his social media. In the letter, Noel expressed gratitude to his fans, saying, "There have been so many things from small venues to the venues I dreamed of, but thank you for always telling me I was comforted by my songs and activities."

Noel continued, "I will perform in larger venues and become a better artist so that you won't be embarrassed to support me," adding, "All friends or fans who have left me, or those who quietly support me from afar as their love has somewhat cooled, all of them are wonderful memories that I shared my youth with. Whenever you come back, please like me again." He concluded with, "Thank you for loving me and helping me achieve my dreams. I love you. See you on May 31."

Noel is scheduled to hold a solo concert on May 31 at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.

In the past, when Noel caused several controversies, including drunk driving, Jang Je-won apologized to the public. After Jang Je-won was accused of sexual assault, Noel indirectly denied the allegations against his father by posting on social media on the 4th, saying, "Everything will return to normal. Please wait."

Noel's last social media post has received comments expressing condolences and sympathy.

Meanwhile, Jang Je-won, a former lawmaker of the People Power Party who was under police investigation for allegedly sexually assaulting a secretary, has died. According to police on the 1st, Jang was found dead at an officetel in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, at 11:40 p.m. the previous day. It is reported that he left a suicide note.
