Irene of the group Red Velvet donated 100 million won to support wildfire victims.
On the 31st, the Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Kim Byung-jun) announced that Red Velvet's Irene donated 100 million won for the recovery of wildfire damage in the Yeongnam region.
This donation will be used to support firefighters dedicated to extinguishing the wildfires and to aid in the recovery of housing and livelihoods for those affected.
Irene said, "I hope this small gesture brings comfort to those going through difficult times due to the wildfire damage," and added, "I sincerely thank the firefighters who are silently battling in dangerous conditions."
Previously, Irene donated 100 million won to help medical personnel and vulnerable groups in her hometown Daegu during the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020.
