Group (G)I-DLE member Minnie donated 100 million won to the Korean Red Cross to support the recovery efforts from the large-scale earthquake damage in Myanmar and Thailand.

Minnie had previously donated 100 million won to the Korean Red Cross on the 31st for recovery efforts from nationwide wildfire damage. She has also donated 20 million won for the recovery efforts from the 2023 Türkiye-Syria earthquake, and with this donation, she is once again demonstrating the value of sharing and showing a positive influence.

Minnie said, "I was heartbroken to hear about the suffering of those affected by the earthquake in Thailand and Myanmar. Especially since Thailand is my hometown, I felt a deeper connection."

She continued, "I decided to donate because I wanted to lend my small support. I sincerely hope that the affected areas recover quickly and that the disaster victims can return to a safe daily life."

Kim Cheol-soo, president of the Korean Red Cross, noted, "Minnie’s warm heart will be a great strength to the residents of the affected areas. The donation will be delivered quickly and transparently to where it's needed."

The Korean Red Cross plans to use Minnie’s donation for emergency relief activities for earthquake recovery in Myanmar and Thailand. Specifically, it will be utilized for food, medical supplies, and support for temporary residences for the disaster victims.

The Korean Red Cross has supported the emergency relief fund of 100,000 Swiss francs (approximately 1.7 billion Hanwha) for emergency relief in Myanmar and will conduct a nationwide emergency fundraising campaign until the 30th.
