Singer Choi Soo-ho amplified the anticipation for his comeback with a preview of his new album.
His agency, Pogo Entertainment, revealed a highlight medley of Choi Soo-ho's first mini-album 'One' on its official YouTube channel at 2 p.m. on the 31st of last month.
This highlight medley marked the first release of audio portions from the tracks included in the album, including the title track 'Going to the End,' which incited a strong reaction from fans. Accompanied by the audio, photos capturing Choi Soo-ho's fine visuals were also played for each track, captivating both the eyes and ears.
The title track 'Going to the End' features Choi Soo-ho's traditional music introduction, creating a unique atmosphere. The energetic sound of his vocals, combined with passionate flamenco guitar sounds from Spain and an addictive beat, delivers powerful emotions, showcasing a distinctive charm that blends tradition and modernity.
In particular, the music director Oh Joon-sung, known as the 'OST master' of South Korea, composed the song, having worked on various drama soundtracks such as 'Boys Over Flowers,' 'The Sun's Areas,' 'City Hunter,' 'God's Gift,' and 'Princess Prosecutor.' The lyrics were written by Lee Geon-woo, who has penned over 1,200 songs in about 40 years, including Kim Yeon-ja's 'Amor Fati,' Tae Jin-ah's 'Love is Not for Anyone,' and Song Gain's 'Seoul's Moon,' resulting in a splendid Latin dance track.
Additionally, Choi Soo-ho's new album 'One' includes 'Walking in a Dream,' which allows listeners to experience his soft vocals reminiscent of a warm afternoon sun in spring, 'We Together,' noted for its tranquil flugelhorn resonance and beautiful harmony with strings, a remake of the song 'Mother's Song' expressing heartfelt feelings toward his mother over the flowing years, and the 2025 version of 'Joseon's Man' which showcases a more mature and powerful Choi Soo-ho's vocals, totaling six tracks, including the instrumental track of the title song 'Going to the End.'
High-quality music that showcases Choi Soo-ho's delicate singing ability and wide musical spectrum predicts the birth of another masterpiece that will shake the music industry this spring, heating up expectations for his comeback.
Born in 2002, Choi Soo-ho is majoring in pansori at the Korea National University of Arts. He showcased various stages, transcending genres from authentic trot to traditional music in the recently concluded MBN show 'King of Singers 2,' continuously breaking records and finishing in 6th place overall, earning a spot in the TOP 7.
Moreover, in last month's KBS2 show 'Immortal Songs' featuring lyricist-composer Yoon Myung-sun, he confidently selected Yu Ji-na's 'Threelange,' a fusion of traditional and trot music, winning first place in his debut performance by showcasing his major in a fantastic stage and perfectly proving his capabilities as a 'trot sensation.'
Choi Soo-ho's first mini-album 'One' will be released at 6 p.m. on the 5th through various music sites.
